On April 24th, it was learned from the Beijing Municipal Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation that the multilingual "Beijing Departure Tax Refund Guide" and the electronic map of Beijing Tax Refund Stores have recently been launched, providing convenience for tourists' inbound consumption.
According to reports, the "Beijing Departure Tax Refund Guide" includes versions in seven languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, Russian, and Mongolian. It provides a visual guide for the entire process, combining text and images to explain in detail common issues such as tax refund conditions and procedures, ensuring a worry-free tax refund with "one guidebook in hand."
The Municipal Tax Bureau has also launched a mobile version of the "Tax Refund Stores Electronic Map," integrating the geographical locations of over a thousand tax refund stores in the city. It supports real-time navigation, multi-dimensional search, and switching between Chinese and English languages. Overseas travelers can quickly locate the tax refund stores of interest through their mobile phones.
Currently, the Municipal Taxation Bureau has placed tax refund guides and electronic maps at the first entry points for travelers, such as the "Beijing Service" service point at the airport and the Convenient Payment Service Center for overseas travelers coming to China. Travelers can obtain convenient information as soon as they enter the country, and these materials are also simultaneously distributed in key commercial areas and foreign-related hotels, accompanying travelers throughout their journey of tourism and consumption.
The data shows that there are over a thousand departure tax refund stores in this city, ranking first in the country. In the first quarter of this year, the city's departure tax refunds maintained a high growth trend, with the number of departure tax refund application forms issued increasing by 128% year-on-year; the sales of departure tax refund goods reached 270 million yuan, doubling compared to the same period last year. Among them, in the first quarter, the sales of tax refund goods in key business districts such as CBD and Wangfujing accounted for over 90% of the city's total; the sales of tax refund goods in traditional "time-honored" brand stores such as traditional Chinese medicine, silk, and handicrafts increased by 28% year-on-year.
