02 The Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling
Stepping into The Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling, in the tranquil courtyard, ancient trees are lush, and the lake is calm. The two Asiatic apple trees in the residence have a long history, dating back hundreds of years. In early April each year, when they bloom, the flowers are as abundant as snow, falling like a colorful rain of petals.
The residence was originally the mansion of Prince Chun during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. Even earlier, it was the residence of Nalan Mingzhu, a grand secretary during the Kangxi period. Nalan Mingzhu's son, Nalan Xingde, a renowned poet in the Qing Dynasty, once composed the poem "The falling petals are like mist, not allowing one to seek the way to the Peach Blossom Spring" here.

04 Shunyi New Town Riverside Forest Park
Strolling in Shunyi New Town Riverside Forest Park, the Asiatic apples and the clear waters complement each other. The asiatic apple trees here are planted by the water, and the branches hanging low seem to be whispering to the swimming fish.
In the faint morning light, the petals exude a charming feeling of a beauty lying drunk in the flowers; and as dusk falls, the flower shadows under the streetlights add a touch of classical charm, as if saying, "As the moon moves, the flower shadows will return."
