Route Points
Tanzhe Temple (the Zen-like filming location of the movie "If You Are the One 2") → Dingdu Peak (the panoramic shooting spot of "The Beijing Central Axis") → Cuandixia Cun (the Ming and Qing ancient village in The Warlords)
Station 1: Tanzhe Temple
"There was Tanzhe Temple before there was Beijing City." As the oldest temple in Beijing, Tanzhe Temple has a history of more than 1,700 years. It was first built in the Western Jin Dynasty, and the architectural style of the temple is in the fashion of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is large in scale and divided into three routes: the east, middle, and west routes. There are many scenic spots in the temple, such as the Imperial Tree and the Erqiao Magnolias, with profound cultural heritage.
Station 2: Dingdu Peak
Dingdu Peak is located to the northeast of Sangyu Cun in Mentougou, with an altitude of 680 meters. It is also known as Niuxin Shan (Mountain), Guacaojian, Liefengxi, Wangdu Peak, Shi Shan (Mountain), etc., and is commonly known as Niuxintuo.
Dingdu Pavilion covers an area of 550 square meters and has a floor area of 2,400 square meters. The pavilion is 33.9 meters high and has a total of six floors, with three floors for outdoor viewing.
Station 3: Cuandixia Cun
Cuandixia Cun is located in the middle of a narrow valley in the northwest of Zhaitang, Mentougou. It was first built during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. The village is built along the mountain, with buildings scattered in a well-organized layout, looking like an ingot from afar. It has formed a unique group of mountain courtyard houses.
The layout of the courtyards in the whole village is ingenious, and the architectural style is simple and elegant. Mainly composed of ancient dwellings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, it contains profound historical and cultural heritages, making it a rare classic of ancient village culture in the northern part of China.
Under the premise of maintaining the original appearance of the courtyards, the inns with the theme of Cuan culture have been renovated. The Cuancuaiwanwang Cultural and Creative Store sells themed cultural and creative products related to Cuandixia. With novel designs, the store has retained the previous bricks and tiles, wooden doors, and stone mills, and has arranged "old items" collected from various places in Mentougou, making it like a small museum.
Not far from Cuandixia Cun is a natural pass. The rift valley is more than 100 meters long and is a typical fault landscape, known as a natural barrier. With its unique scenery, it is commonly known as the "Yixiantian" and is a popular scenic spot for tourists to take photos and check in.
