The apricot trees in the Temple of Heaven were planted in the 1960s, with over 150 trees still remaining. The apricot blossoms have bloomed beautifully recently, entering the best viewing period. The delicate white against the lush green, the new growth awakening ancient meanings, the pines and cypresses thriving in the cold of the year, the warmth of spring with red apricot blossoms - the combination of apricot blossoms and cypress trees has become a unique feature of the Temple of Heaven.

Clusters of apricot blossoms are blooming, forming a pink sea of flowers that extends from the northwest outer altar to outside the Science Popularization Park, creating a scene that is truly enchanting.

Starting this week, rows of apricot blossoms have bloomed brilliantly, forming a gorgeous flower corridor. From the bright red flower buds to the pink and white falling petals, the apricot blossoms next to the ancient zoo depict a poetic journey of life, with each encounter being the most charming.

Walking through the southwest gate into the park, the pink and white flower corridor extends for tens of meters, with petals interweaving with the blue sky to create a flowing painting. Inside the park, magnolias, peach blossoms, and forsythias are all blooming, with the weeping willows swaying gently, creating a scene of "spring is bright and clear" in the eyes of visitors.

One of the forty scenes in Yuanmingyuan, the Apricot Blossom Spring Pavilion is named after the imagery of this poem. Currently, clusters of pink and white apricot blossoms quietly bloom, with trees stretching out, dense flowers, branches intertwining to form a natural flower corridor, creating an atmosphere of "deep spring, flowers blooming, radiant like rosy clouds."

Recently, the "Koi Fish Flower Creek" in Yuanmingyuan has become popular, with koi fish in the pond resembling agile flames, swimming through light and shadow, painting a vivid spring picture.

Xiangshan was once called Apricot Flower Mountain. The "Brief Description of Scenic Spots in the Imperial Capital" in the Ming Dynasty states: "It is also called Xiangshan, with the fragrance of apricot flowers, Xiangshan it is..." Located in the heart of the eastern slope of Xishan, Xiangshan has a unique horseshoe-shaped mountain hollow, with mountain peaches and mountain apricots as the backdrop of the spring scenery.

The mountain apricot forest at the Xiangshan Cableway Middle Station is about to present a scene of "thousands of rouge dots," with petals changing from pink to white, resembling spring snow covering the branches, echoing the poetic charm of Li Shangyin's "Every day the spring light competes with the sunlight, the apricot blossoms fragrant on the mountain city's slanting road."

The flower seas on the Third Road and 351 Steps Trail sprinkle out the scattered shadows of Eastern aesthetics, at Shetaijun Temple, one can overlook the mountains in full bloom, feel the grandeur of the mountains and the tenderness of the flowers, accompanied by the flower seas along the way, it takes about half an hour to reach the top, overlooking the stunning "half city of smoke and powder, half city of mountains," and even see the skyline of Beijing in the distance.

The park is located 3 kilometers north of the Summer Palace, with direct access to the foot of the mountain on Metro Line 16. The 2025 Beijing Park Tourist Year Pass has added the Baiwangshan Forest Park, so make good use of it.

From March to May is the best season to enjoy flowers at Fenghuangling. Currently, the mountain peach blossoms are in full bloom, and the apricot blossoms have also entered their peak blooming period. Fenghuangling has the largest apricot forest in Beijing, with tens of thousands of apricot trees planted. The flowers are in full bloom, exuding a refreshing floral fragrance as you stroll through the apricot forest. The blooming period will last for about a week.

Following the apricot blossoms, various mountain flowers at Fenghuangling will continue to bloom one after another, including wintersweet, peach blossoms, magnolias, white magnolias, February daphne, roses, and camellias. Invite your hiking partner and enjoy the spring scenery together.
