Located at 40°N latitude—an internationally recognized prime zone for strawberry cultivation—Changping boasts exceptional growing conditions and outstanding product quality. However, to truly earn the title of "Changping Strawberry," the fruit must meet a series of rigorous standards. According to guidelines, large strawberry varieties from Changping must weigh at least 25 grams per berry, while medium and small varieties must exceed 20 grams. Additionally, Changping strawberries must exhibit intense fragrance, plump and symmetrical shapes, fresh green calyxes, and a fruit coloration level ≥90%. It is these strict requirements that have made Changping strawberries the only agricultural product in Beijing to receive the national "Local Specialty" honor.
