The art of the Dunhuang Grottoes is vast and profound, covering wall paintings, colored sculptures, and architectural masterpieces from the 4th to the 14th century, spanning ten historical periods from the Sixteen Kingdoms to the Yuan Dynasty. It is a concentrated embodiment of the combination of Buddhist art and excellent traditional Chinese culture, and is renowned as a world cultural heritage.
