2025 marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of world cinema, the 120th anniversary of Chinese cinema, and the 15th anniversary of the Beijing International Film Festival. From the Lumière Brothers' first screening of films in Paris in 1895 to the release of "Dingjun Mountain" in 1905 marking the birth of Chinese cinema, the art of light and shadow has spanned centuries, constantly renewing its vitality.
Over the past fifteen years, the Beijing International Film Festival has embodied the spirit of "Co-creation, Sharing, Win-win, Appreciation, Resonance, and Coexistence," building a platform for dialogue between Chinese cinema and the world, and promoting the prosperity and development of the film industry.
