On the night of the Lantern Festival, the Temple of Heaven Park fully illuminated its nightscape. The Temple of Heaven was completed in the 18th year of the Yongle Emperor's reign during the Ming Dynasty (1420) and was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998. As the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests was lit up, 24 zodiac lanterns, 8 Peking Opera face lanterns, and 160 ground lanterns gradually illuminated the park. After the Lantern Festival, all the themed lanterns will remain lit every night until the end of March.
On February 14, 2025, the colorful lantern displays were perfectly framed with the iconic corner tower of the Forbidden City, creating a dazzling scene. The night sky was illuminated by brilliant lights, showcasing a breathtaking and enchanting spectacle.
