01. Leisure Activities

1. Jingdong Karst Cave

The Jingdong Karst Cave in Pinggu will host the 2025 Spring Festival Lantern Night Tour, running until February 12. The cave area, featuring a 400-acre lantern display created by craftsmen of intangible cultural heritage, is filled with a variety of beautifully designed lanterns.

During the Lantern Festival, there will be two performances each day, from 19:00-19:15 and 20:15-20:30, showcasing traditional iron flower and fire pot performances, both part of the region's intangible cultural heritage.

In addition to the colorful lantern displays, the Jingdong Karst Cave, dating back approximately 1.5 billion years, is renowned as "the world's first ancient cave." The cave maintains a constant temperature throughout the year, being warm in winter and cool in summer. Spanning over 2,500 meters in length, the cave offers a 90-minute tour with eight major scenic spots and over ten scenic features. One of the most spectacular sights is the "Dragon Carved Heavenly Script" on the cave walls, a natural rock carving masterpiece. Inside, there is a 100-meter waterway where visitors can ride small boats and navigate through the underground river for a thrilling experience.

The combination of the cave's wonders and the vibrant lantern displays creates a unique contrast: explore the cave during the day and enjoy the lanterns at night for a truly memorable experience.
