On January 22, the 11th feature film of the "Boonie Bears" series, Boonie Bears: Future Reborn, held a grand premiere in Beijing. The filmmakers interacted enthusiastically with parents and children at the event, creating a lively atmosphere.  

Directed by Lin Yongchang, the film tells the story of Vick, Briar, and Bramble, who encounter Xiao Liang, a boy from the future. Together, they travel 100 years ahead into a future where Earth has been overtaken by spore plants, and humanity struggles to survive in an apocalyptic world. In their quest to return to Bear Valley, the trio teams up with Xiao Liang, leading them on an extraordinary mission to save the world.  

"Through the sci-fi series, we've explored themes like artificial intelligence, aerospace, and multiple timelines. This time, we chose to delve into a post-apocalyptic narrative," said Shang Linlin, the film's chief producer. "The story unfolds in a dystopian era 100 years from now. We hope the courage and determination displayed by Xiao Liang and the protagonists to save the future will inspire viewers. With the arrival of the Spring Festival, we aim to bring joy and warmth to audiences and encourage everyone to embrace a brighter future with courage."  

Director Lin Yongchang highlighted that the biggest challenge during production was constructing a comprehensive world-building framework while advancing character growth. "We've seen many post-apocalyptic settings that feel monotonous, bleak, and uninspired. However, as a family film, we wanted our world to be imaginative and creative, leaving audiences with a sense of wonder." The film's final visual presentation is stunning.  

Regarding character growth, Vick starts as an antagonist but later transforms into a savior—a dramatic reversal. "Through Vick's transformation, we hope to deliver a message of strength and the courage to overcome challenges," Lin added

"Xiao Liang is a pivotal character in the film. I personally admire him and feel for him," said screenwriter Cui Tiezhi. Xiao Liang is constantly misunderstood and faces many injustices, particularly the citizens of Watchtower City, who view his persistence as futile and dangerous to the city's safety. "It is precisely this unyielding spirit of Xiao Liang, his belief in changing the world despite his seemingly fragile frame, that makes his character so moving."  

Boonie Bears: Future Reborn is set for nationwide release on the first day of the Chinese New Year. It marks the final chapter of the "Boonie Bears Sci-Fi Quintet." Lin Yongchang also revealed that the "Boonie Bears" feature film series will continue to expand in the future.
