The 2025 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei New Year's Eve countdown event will start at 7 pm on December 31st. Beijing Radio and Television Station will be connected to various New Year's Eve activities in Tianjin, Hebei, and Beijing without interruption. On December 28th, the 2025 Megalights Wonderland opened in the Wenyuhe Park Chaoyang Demonstration Zone and will exhibit over a thousand sets of colored lights until March 2025.
The 2025 Megalights Wonderland is an upgraded continuation of the first "Megalights Wonderland", with a super-large space of 600 acres, an increase of 50% in the area compared to previous years, and eight major theme areas.
In terms of lantern design, this year's "Lantern King" was carefully crafted based on the Qing Qianlong Golden Inlaid Pearl Celestial Globe, with a total height of 15 meters and a length of 40 meters. It took about 50 non-heritage inheritors 20 days to complete.
