The 2024 Beijing International Children's Design Week and the Beijing International Children's Design Innovation Series are currently taking place at Times Art Museum. Alongside, the "Far-Sighted Design—Design for Children" innovative experience exhibition is being held, aiming to convey young designers' deep concern for the growth of children, particularly for special groups such as children with disabilities. The exhibition explores the various possibilities of children's design through a warm and innovative spirit.
The innovative experience exhibition includes six thematic areas: Amusement Park, Illusion Realm, Intergalactic Puzzle Journey, and others. In the "Design for Missing Senses" section, a diverse range of design works for special groups such as blind children, children with expressive disorders, and children with sensory integration issues are on display. In the "Happy Quality Growth" section, a series of product designs for the growth of all children are presented, aiming to create a world of care and beauty for every child. The organizers hope that through this exhibition, the public's rational attention and scientific reflection on children's growth environments will be inspired, promoting a more inclusive and diverse design future.
Times Art Museum has always emphasized the integration of art with fashion, design, and technology, exploring the many possibilities of contemporary art. The museum is not only a place for displaying artworks but also a key promoter of children's aesthetic education, enhancing their perception of a beautiful life, and developing their aesthetic abilities and artistic cultivation. The ultimate goal of aesthetic education is to empower children to have the ability to attain happiness. This collaboration between Times Art Museum and Beijing International Design Week is also a practice in advancing cross-disciplinary arts, committed to fulfilling the museum's role in aesthetic education, attracting more children and families to experience art through rich content and innovative approaches.
The exhibition will be open until February 16, 2025.
