In order to demonstrate the historic achievements of the CPC's poverty alleviation and rural revitalization strategy since the 18th National Congress of the CPC and to create an eternal epic for the people, commissioned and presented by the NCPA, the national opera Minning Town comes out. With copyright support from the TV Drama Department of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, with the Dongyang Daylight Entertainment Co., Ltd. as honourary presenter, this opera is jointly produced by the Publicity Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Publicity Department of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, Publicity Department of the CPC Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Committee and the NCPA.

Minning Town, will greet the audiences as scheduled, paying tribute to China's 20th National Congress of the CPC.

Adapted from the TV series of the same Chinese title, opera Minning Town reviews the relocation tale about the people of Xihaigu, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, represented by the people of Yongquan Village. They relocate to Yongning County in the suburb of Yinchuan in the 1990s and establish an economic development zone from scratch. From a documentary perspective, this opera demonstrates the great achievements of China's poverty alleviation undertakings, sharing its valuable experiences on poverty alleviation and development with Chinese characteristics, and eulogizing the spirit of throwing off poverty, overcoming difficulties and joining hands for cooperation. The opera features libretto creation steeped in the artistic characteristics of opera art on the basis of the TV series. It gives shape to authentic and perceptible roles in a concise story. The music composition draws on folk music elements, such as Hua'er unique to Ningxia, with distinctive regional characteristics and national music savours.
