Luo Dayou, a legend in the Chinese music scene, is set to bring his iconic works to life with a fresh symphonic twist in 2024. His "Spring Dragon Symphonic Night" concert series, inspired by the vibrant themes of "Spring"—symbolizing renewal and vitality, and "Dragon"—embodying mystery and boundless imagination—will showcase both reimagined classics and new compositions. The concert is scheduled to take place at the Beijing performing Arts Center on December 14 and 15.

"As everything lives on, music should connect with the land, with people, and become a source of inner strength, especially in challenging times," Luo explained about the inspiration behind the event. He invited a number of performers to form a 'musical community’, blending Eastern and Western acoustic instruments to create a unique sound. With the sophisticated design of the concert hall, the audience will experience an immersive performance like never before.

This year, the 'Spring Dragon Symphony Night Concert’ has been staged in theatres and concert halls in many cities across the country. For this Beijing performance, audiences can look forward to beloved classics like Pearl of the Orient, Rolling Red Dust, Love Song 1990, and The Story of Time, all presented with fresh arrangements, which will  reconnect fans with timeless stories while introducing new layers to his iconic sound.
