2024-11-03

On November 1, InJoy Hall at Jing IN International Center was inaugurated, adding a musical and artistic dimension to the "City Living Room" of Beijing's South Second Ring Road.

Since its opening to the public last September, Jing IN International Center has become a popular destination, attracting numerous foreign institutions, central state-owned enterprises, and tech companies. The center's commercial space, "In Gallery," includes specialty dining and popular bakeries, making it a vibrant spot for employees and local residents alike. Now, with the launch of InJoy Hall, the center introduces a new cultural space, offering a dynamic venue for artistic expression, fueled by strong industrial energy and development potential in the capital's southern area.

"From its initial planning, Jing IN International Center has aimed to become a new artistic fusion hub, an essential platform for cultural progress and prosperity," said Wang Rongfang, General Manager of Jing IN International Center. InJoy Hall serves as a bridge within this evolving space, injecting new vitality through a variety of music-related activities and industry partnerships, enhancing the center's reputation as a music IP and steadily increasing its influence.

Jing IN International Center has appointed ZhaiJia, founder and director of the Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and Chair of the Yanqi Lake Youth Music Festival, as the music advisor, with plans to curate high-quality artistic events, positioning the center as a professional music and arts space.

"Architecture is spatial art, while music is temporal art—both achieve harmony and balance through proportion and symmetry," ZhaiJia noted at the event. He outlined plans for InJoy Hall, including establishing music studios to support young musical talent, providing a platform for young artists to teach, perform, and fulfill their potential. "We plan to sign 20 emerging musicians, host weekly salons or pop-up events, monthly concerts, and seasonal Jing IN Music Festivals, ensuring music is a constant presence throughout the year."

The opening event featured JiaoFeihu, a young Chinese conductor, pianist, and Steinway Honorary Teacher, as well as a guest conductor for the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. He performed a solo piano piece, The Dragon's Heart, followed by a duet of Grieg's Morning Mood with his student Yang Xinyu. Jiao expressed that InJoy Hall is more than just a venue—it is a platform for artistic exchange, and he looks forward to seeing young musicians from the China Philharmonic Youth Orchestra perform there. "I hope more artists will grace this space with their talent and create beautiful music," he shared.

The opening of In Joy Hall marks a significant step in Jing IN International Center's vision of establishing a professional music platform, bringing a vibrant cultural presence to Fengtai District and the area nearby You'anmenJiedao (St). It also supports the "station-city integration" development at Beijing South Railway Station TOD, adding a musical note to the area's economic growth.

Looking ahead, In Joy Hall plans to host music and art salons, Philharmonic Youth Orchestra events, music-tech AI experiences, and more, expanding its reach and making it a hub for community-based artistic events, enriching the lives of residents with the joy of music.
