Asian Winter Games torch merchandise released in Beijing

2024-11-02

On October 31, the official retail store for Asian Winter Games licensed products, located in the Beijing Arts and Crafts Museum, officially opened, showcasing nearly 100 new licensed products.

The 100-day countdown event for the 9th Asian Winter Games was held on October 30 at the Harbin Ice Hockey Arena, where the Games' medals and torch were revealed.

At 11:00 AM on October 31, the Asian Winter Games torch merchandise was made available both online and at the retail store. A total of 17 products across five categories were launched, including limited edition badges, refrigerator magnets, commemorative medals, clothing, and torch models.

According to Jiang Yulong, deputy director of the Market Development Department of the Asian Winter Games Organizing Committee, the development of licensed products for the Games utilizes intelligent methods to enhance product development efficiency, optimize user experience, and further highlight the technological and futuristic elements of the Games. This aims to meet the personalized needs of enthusiasts and promote the development of the ice and snow economy.

The Asian Winter Games licensed product retail stores, operated by Beijing Gongmei Group at Wangfujing Arts and Crafts Building and the Xin'ao Museum, were popular during the Beijing Winter Olympics as destinations for licensed product enthusiasts. The two stores have now shifted focus from the Winter Olympics to the Asian Winter Games, offering Beijing residents and collectors of sports merchandise a chance to closely engage with the upcoming Harbin Asian Winter Games.

In addition to the product launch, the event also showcased sports culture public welfare posters and designs from the volunteer badge creative competition. Volunteer badges, donated by the licensed enterprises of the Asian Winter Games, will be presented to outstanding volunteers during the event.

The Harbin Asian Winter Games, a major international ice and snow sports event following the Beijing Winter Olympics, will open on February 7, 2025.
