National Theatre of China's first musical drama, narrating the world's Dunhuang from a Chinese perspective. The deep integration of digital and art, innovative and diverse expressions, multi-space and multi-linear narratives. The fusion of drama, film, and live performances across various artistic fields has "created" a "Dunhuang space" that is both modern and imbued with Chinese aesthetics. Music is the key to unlocking another dimension in time and space, playing a significant role in connecting time and deepening themes in the musical drama "Called to Dunhuang." The solemn and benevolent faces with a hint of a smile in the Dunhuang murals, the imagery of celestial beings playing the pipa while flying, the magnificent colors within the caves, the breath and temperature between the crescent moon and the singing sands... all will transform into tangible musical notes, merging into the singing.

"Called to Dunhuang" is another masterpiece by the China National Theatre, innovatively integrating drama, music, dance, and other art forms. By telling the "cross-time" story of two generations of young people intersecting in two different times and spaces, it showcases the inheritance of craftsmanship among generations of Dunhuang people, reflects the spiritual connection between the Mogao spirit and contemporary youth, and strives to create an excellent work with both intellectual depth and artistic height, allowing Dunhuang culture to be revitalized once again through the stage of drama.
