The Juilliard School, founded in 1905, plays a leading rolein the field of performing arts education in the world. As a cooperative program established by the Juilliard School in China, Tianjin Juilliard School celebrates an important milestone of its 5th anniversary this year. In November, the Tianjin Juilliard Orchestrawill embark on its first domestic tour. On November 20th, the orchestra will perform at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, participating in thestage art exhibition of "Spring Blossoms and Autumn Harvest". On November 24th, the orchestra will arrive at the Hong Kong City Hall and make an appearance at the Music Festival of the Hong Kong New Generation Arts Association.

TheTianjinJuilliard Orchestra is composed of graduate students from the Tianjin Juilliard School of Music, which performs about 10 concerts per season. During this tour, the orchestra will be led by assistant conductor Lin Jingji and two resident teachers from the school, viola player Li Hanna and cello player He Sihao who will play a variety of Chinese and foreign works such as Zhou Tian's Tribute of Respect , Bruch's The Romance for viola and orchestra, Tchaikovsky's Variations On A Rococo Theme Paul Duka's The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Nikolai Andreivitch Rimsky-Korsakov's Spanish Caprice, and Hachaturian's Slow Plate of Spartacus and Phrygia. These works can fully demonstrate the skills of orchestra and the understanding of different music.
