The northern route takes about 3 to 4 hours and presents some challenges with its rugged terrain and scattered colorful foliage. It includes several famous attractions along the way.

Recommended stops include Tianti Pavilion, Feilai Stone Pagoda, Dakuadi, Shibapan, and the White Tower Reservoir Bridge.
