The Fantastical Night Tour at Geziwo Park transports visitors into a dreamlike fairyland; the large-scale sea-view installation at Biluo Tower Bar Park illuminates the East Coast of Beidaihe; the century-old Shitang Lu (Rd) is creatively reimagined into an interactive experience street. Unique night markets with strong themes, such as the Starlight Wonderland Market and Hongshi Lu (Rd) Night Market, bring vibrant and engaging nighttime cultural tourism activities to Beidaihe, injecting fresh energy into the region's tourism development.
Since 2023, Beidaihe District has embraced the principle of "focusing on key areas to drive overall progress, establishing a brand through unique features, and promoting growth through activities" to actively build a new model for comprehensive tourism development. The district has made substantial efforts in enhancing infrastructure, enriching tourism offerings, and improving service quality, achieving solid progress in tourism development.
Beidaihe District is committed to elevating public service standards. Efforts have been made to open multiple rapid-access routes for tourists, such as the Beidaihe Airport Expressway and Ninghai Avenue, as well as introducing direct bus lines to major attractions. A total of 104 tourism toilets have been built across the district, achieving full coverage; during peak season, restrooms in all street-facing establishments are made accessible to the public. High-standard RV campsites, including Biluo Tower RV Camp and Letu RV Camp, have been constructed to accommodate self-driving tourists. The district has also enhanced the layout of tourist signage, wayfinding, and information facilities, greatly upgrading visitor experiences. A smart tourism big data platform has been established, with the launch of the "Leisure Beidaihe" app and WeChat public account, allowing visitors to explore Beidaihe with a single mobile device. Video monitoring signals from all A-rated scenic spots in the district are integrated with the National Tourism Operations Monitoring Platform and the Provincial Tourism Cloud. Additionally, Jiufa Agricultural Sightseeing Park, the Wildlife Park, and Geziwo Scenic Area have been recognized as provincial smart tourism demonstration sites.
Beidaihe District continues to foster the intrinsic motivation of market participants by advancing the tourism industry's marketization, specialization, and consolidation, thereby injecting robust momentum into the sector. Strengthening the joint operation model, the district has supported villages like Dingzhuang and Cuigezhuang in transitioning to a unified management approach, where village collectives collaborate with professional teams to streamline operations. This approach integrates surrounding resources into the homestay industry's supply chain, addressing challenges such as lack of comprehensive planning, inadequate supporting facilities, and limited operational resilience. It aims to elevate and enhance the efficiency of homestay management across the district. Currently, more than 50 homestays—representing over one-tenth of all homestays in the area—have joined this cooperative model, achieving initial goals of "unified interior design, centralized promotion and sales, and standardized supporting services."
Beidaihe District is advancing key project developments on multiple fronts. Leveraging the Biluo Tower Tourism Development Co., Ltd.—the first publicly listed cultural tourism enterprise in the district—the RV campsites, large-scale live performances, and nighttime attractions have spurred Beidaihe's evening economy. Key projects such as the Beidaihe Art and Media Center, the Zhoudun Manor upgrades, and external facility improvements have been included in Hebei Province's list of cultural and tourism priority projects. Additionally, eight flagship initiatives are underway: theBeidaihe Art Village, Chitushan Cultural Tourism Complex, GuailouQiyuan (Strange Tower) Park, International Roller Skating Base, Pingshuiqiao Beach, Shitang Lu (Rd) Street District, Xilianfengshan Comprehensive Development, and Xiaonihe Hot Spring Resort Town. Plans for festivals like the Birdwatching Art Festival and Beidaihe Specialty Festival are also in motion, laying a strong foundation for creating a top-tier cultural tourism product system, facilities, and service brand.

Our goal is to create a unique, eco-friendly, and multi-faceted tourism experience in Beidaihe, offering consumers a variety of leisure and shopping options that boost urban vitality and promote the flourishing development of the tourism economy," said Li Weijie, Party Secretary and Director of the Beidaihe Bureau of Tourism, Culture, Radio, and Television.
