The Nanshiyang Grand Canyon is composed of Zhongshan, Canyon, Qifeng, and Cliff, forming a complex landform group. It shows the changing history of the earth for millions of years. It is known as the "Geological Textbook of Beijing West", the "Chinese version of the Colorado River", the "Earth's Great Rift in Beijing", and the scenic area has "one canyon, nine valleys, eighteen bays, and seventy-two nodes".
From bottom to top are Fanchen Valley, Changchun Valley, Wuyou Valley, Yanxiang Valley, Bailin Valley, Xiaoyao Valley, Qingyuan Valley, Qixia Valley, and Chenxi Valley.
The total length of the canyon is more than 20 kilometers, and the total length of the main valley is 9 kilometers. It has geological wonders such as Yixiantian and Ladder Root, natural landscapes such as canyons, strange peaks, and cliff, forming a unique feature of being majestic, strange, dangerous, and secluded some precious historical relics from the Liao and Jin dynasties are still preserved in the canyon, including ancient dressing tables, Niangniang Temple, etc.

Passing through tourist attractions such as Feilada, Xuanti, and camping sites, it is recommended to take a sightseeing shuttle bus to easily cross the main valley route of Nanshiyang Grand Canyon, or choose to hike.
PART 02
Fanchen Valley Hiking
Hiking from Fanchen Valley to Heilong Pond is basically a gentle staircase. Walking on the trail, there are surprises at every turn. There are landscapes such as a narrow sky, Tianjing, and Heilong Pond in the valley.
Route: Walk or take a sightseeing shuttle to the entrance of Fanchen Valley → Tianguan → Tianjing → Narrow Sky → Thousand-page Book → Heilong Pond, suitable for people of all ages throughout the year.

Climbing the Ming Great Wall
Climbing along the Great Wall Valley (Chenxi Valley) from the Single Gate to the Round City (Ming Great Wall), enjoying the magnificent mountain and canyon landscapes along the way. Climbing to the observation deck can overlook the entire canyon. When there is fog, you can take spectacular photos of the sea of clouds.
Route: Walk or take a sightseeing shuttle to the Single Gate → Wanping County Anti-Japanese Site → Xiuzhen Cave → Round City, suitable for experienced outdoor enthusiasts.

Feilada Climbing, Sky Ladder, and Rappelling
Feilada, meaning "railway," is an adventure activity that involves climbing using fixed steel cables and iron ladders fixed on cliffs. It combines elements of hiking and climbing. It is an excellent way to experience high-altitude adventure.
The Quadruple Heaven here - Combination Sky Ladder is the longest sky ladder route in China. It is erected between two mountains. It consists of four continuous sky ladders in the shape of a Chinese character "之". The total length is 328 meters, and the highest point is 158 meters above the ground.

1. As the weather gets colder, remember to bring gloves when playing Feilada.
