Chengqian Palace in the Palace Museum

It is often said that only after the first snow does the Forbidden City truly embody its essence. Yet, once the snow melts, the gardens burst into bloom. Along with spring arrives the pear blossoms of Chengqian Palace. The pear blossoms here are not only as white as snow and sweetly fragrant, but they also complement the intricately carved ancient architecture beautifully. Accompanying the famous pear blossoms are the poignant love story of Emperor Shunzhi and his favored concubine, Dong Efei.

Zhihua Temple

Zhihua Temple is the best-preserved Ming dynasty temple in Beijing, tucked away in the Lumicang Hutong of Dongcheng District. Unlike famous sites like Yonghe Temple and Tanzhe Temple, it sees few visitors. However, the ancient pear blossoms in its courtyard give it a stunning beauty. In the spring, wandering through the courtyard, accompanied by the elegant and ancient melodies of the Ming dynasty court music, one can enjoy the unique intangible cultural heritage of Beijing, Jing Music, amidst swirling white petals. Listen to the ancient sounds, inhale the floral fragrance, and savor the tranquility of Zhihua Temple.

Daxing Pear Garden

When it comes to the highlights of Daxing's Panggezhuang, watermelons undoubtedly take center stage. However, few know that the area is home to vast pear orchards, the largest in the Beijing region, featuring the earliest blooms and the widest variety of ancient pear trees. When the pear blossoms are in full bloom, they create a captivating veil over the pear countryside against the backdrop of a blue sky.

Pinggu Pear Blossom Avenue

Located between Dongsiyu Village and Hetaowa Village in Zhenluoying Town, Pinggu District, there is a winding mountain path flanked by pear trees. This is the famous Pear Blossom Avenue, recognized as one of the popular spots in Beijing since 2020.

Each spring, the path is adorned with pear blossoms, and a gentle breeze carries their delicate fragrance. After a spring rain, the ground is covered in drifting white petals, resembling a flowing stream of flowers. Strolling here feels like walking through a sea of white blossoms, washing away restlessness and fatigue while providing a moment for deep reflection.
