"To further strengthen the excavation, protection, development, and utilization of Hongqiao's historical culture, this year we established a cultural and historical expert database. Based on consulting classics and conducting on-site investigations, we delved deeply into and systematically sorted out the connotation of Hongqiao's 'Source Culture,' adhering to the principles of 'early in time, significant impact, clear locations, and authoritative sources,' to create the 'Source Culture' brand of 'Origins of Tianjin, Look at Hongqiao.'" The responsible comrade from the Publicity Department of the Hongqiao District Party Committee introduced that the "Source Culture" map launched this time focuses on marking 47 initial cultural locations, including existing and former historical and cultural buildings, streets, rivers, and major traffic routes, covering ten categories: the source of the city, commerce, education, industry, revolution, military, geography, transportation, culture, and cuisine. The timeline spans more than a thousand years, from the Song and Jin Dynasties to after the founding of New China, which is well-documented.
At the "Source Culture" Roundtable Forum held on-site, experts from the fields of culture and architecture, as well as staff members who participated in the sorting and research of Hongqiao's "Source Culture" locations, discussed and elaborated on "Origins of Tianjin, Look at Hongqiao" through dialogue and interaction.
