The Beijing Chaoyang International Light Festival is committed to creating a globally recognized sustainable urban night tour brand. With the power of Chaoyang, it aims to help Beijing become a first-class international consumption center city, enhance the city's image, create a landmark for the night economy, and enrich the cultural and entertainment life of citizens. The 2nd Beijing Chaoyang International Light Festival in 2024, with the annual activity theme of AI Gathers in Chaoyang, is dedicated to creating a feast of lights where technology, art, and humanities intersect.
The 2nd Beijing Chaoyang International Light Festival in 2024 is composed of three major sections: the main ceremony, the full-area art light and shadow scenes, and a series of cultural and entertainment consumption activities. Centered around the concept of light +, it combines four core elements: creativity, art, music, and cuisine, and sets up five types of activities: urban light and shadow art exhibitions, diverse light and shadow cultural and sports performances, light and shadow fashion art exhibitions, a series of light and shadow cultural activities, and light and shadow themed commercial consumption. In terms of spatial planning and layout, with theBeijing Olympic Park and the Liangma River Cruises and Commercial Economic Belt as the two core areas, it radiates across the entire Chaoyang.

The current Light Festival is themed Amazing Chaoyang · Wonderful Night as its constant theme, and AI Gathers in Chaoyang as its special theme. Building on the foundation of the inaugural Light Festival, it further highlights international characteristics, technological innovation, and cultural atmosphere. During the Light Festival, with the Beijing Olympic Park and the Liangma River Cruises and Economic Belt as the dual cores, it connects with areas such as Beijing CBD, Chaowai UIC District, and Dawangjing Business District, radiating to commercial areas like Huamao, Hopson, and Yayun. Nearly 70 light and shadow art installations and performance scenes have been set up, organizing more than 20 key cultural consumption activities and nearly 300 comprehensive activities involving culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and health, covering over ten thousand brand merchants. This brings citizens and tourists a fantastic light and shadow journey with more prominent themes, more dazzling scenes, richer activities, and more diverse experiences.
