With the opening of the 2024 Beijing Chaoyang International Light Festival, the Liangma River Cultural and Economic Belt features the theme "Chasing Light, Shining Beauty." It includes over 50 light and shadow art installations and 10+ cultural and entertainment activities across three themed areas: Liangma River International Waterfront, Chaoyang Park, and the Prince's Mansion. Two tour routes, "water" and "land," guide visitors through the experience.
Starting from Yansha Pier, AI dancers present the "Light Dance Blossoms" projection show on the building's facade, created using AI digital technology.
At Liangma Waterfront, the architectural light and shadow display combines various technologies, including naked-eye projection, laser drawing, and mechanical movements, all infused with national style. Beautiful lotus flowers bloom, while red koi fish and phoenixes swim freely, creating a captivating audiovisual atmosphere.
At Blue Harbor Pier, the "Wonder Night: Music Box" light and shadow show features visual art elements that bounce and dance in the unique waterfront architectural space, resembling a magical stage.
Crossing Guanlan Bridge, visitors enter the "Phantom Light Forest" in Chaoyang Park. This event marks the first domestic use of "laser drawing combined with a three-dimensional light and shadow matrix" technology to create a light and shadow "forest concert." The cascading "crystal bead curtain" interweaves with lights and music, creating a stunning visual experience that allows visitors to immerse themselves. The "Mountain of Phantom Light" emits a soft glow, with its sculptural design featuring hollowed-out modern buildings of Chaoyang District, making it a popular photo spot for visitors.
Blue Harbor Pier, an important dock for Liangma River cruises, is located near Beijing Solana and serves as a key hub for the "Light Chasing Route," a customized water-based light show tour for this year's festival.
