Fun Capital

Fun Capital is a national-level tourism and leisure district and one of Beijing's top micro-vacation destinations. It integrates entertainment, tourism, shopping, and leisure vacation experiences all in one, offering a comprehensive getaway for visitors looking to relax and have fun.

Fun Capital is a national 4A-level scenic area and, together with the neighboring Fun Capital Marriott Hotel and Visionland·Fun Capital, forms a multi-functional complex offering shopping, entertainment, and leisure vacation experiences.

The night scenery here creates a magical, fashionable, and youthful atmosphere, making it one of Beijing's trending night-time destinations and a popular spot for social media check-ins.

Visionland·Fun Capital is located on the north side of Fun Capital. This indoor, high-tech venue offers thrilling and visually stunning experiences, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the excitement while also appreciating China's space exploration culture.

The Ferris wheel at Fun Capital, the first in Changping District, officially opened on April 20 this year. Standing 66 meters tall, it features 28 cabins, each accommodating up to 6 people, allowing a total of 168 visitors to enjoy the view at once. The Ferris wheel's exterior is space-themed, in line with the aerospace theme of Visionland·Fun Capital. As visitors step into the cabins and gently rotate with the Ferris wheel, they can take in a panoramic view of Fun Capital. By night, the Ferris wheel is illuminated with dazzling lights, adding vibrant colors to the city skyline.

The Ming Tombs

The Ming Tombs is a national 5A-level tourist attraction and a concentrated display of Ming Dynasty culture. Together with Fun Capital, these two areas form a micro-vacation demonstration site that integrates tourism, sightseeing, shopping, and leisure, offering visitors a rich and diverse experience.

The Ming Tombs is a burial site for the emperors of the Ming Dynasty, located at the foothills of Tianshou Mountain in the Yan Mountain range, on the northwest outskirts of Beijing in Changping District.

When visiting the Ming Tombs scenic area, the majority of visitors choose to start at the Sacred Way, which is approximately 7.3 kilometers long. Along the route, there are a series of royal ceremonial buildings.

The highlight of the Sacred Way is the Stone Statues, which house the largest and best-preserved group of stone figures in China. These statues represent the highest level of ancient Chinese large-scale sculpture art and hold unparalleled artistic and cultural significance.

You can stroll along the Sacred Way, admiring the exquisite stone carvings and experiencing the profound heritage of Ming Dynasty culture.

Currently, after the Changling Tomb, Dingling Tomb, and Zhao Ling Tomb in the Ming Tombs are open to the public, the Kangling tomb can also be visited by making a reservation.

Xiangshan Museum of the Founding of New China + Xiangshan Park

The Xiangshan Museum of the Founding of New China is integrated with Xiangshan Park, a national 4A-level tourist attraction, creating one of the most representative red tourism demonstration scenes related to the establishment of New China. This site offers visitors a deep understanding of revolutionary history and its significance in shaping modern China.

The Xiangshan Museum of the Founding of New China is located at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain. It features a permanent exhibition that is currently the only large-scale display in the country showcasing the glorious history of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China during its time in Xiangshan. The exhibition includes over 800 photographs and more than 1,200 cultural relics.

The Beijing Xiangshan Museum of the Founding of New China Site of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (Former Site) is located in the southern foothills of the park and serves as a national demonstration base for patriotic education.

Xiangshan Park

Xiangshan Park is renowned for its long history of beautiful autumn foliage, attracting many visitors each fall. In recent years, the park has been actively planting more representative species of Xiangshan red leaves to enhance the richness of autumn colors.

Recently, the 36th "Beijing Evening News · Xiangshan Red Leaf Festival" kicked off. This year, the park has selected 18 colorful leaf viewing spots based on different scenic effects, marking them on a detailed map. The "Leaf Viewing Map" provides visitors with more options for enjoying the vibrant autumn scenery.

The best time to enjoy the Xiangshan red leaves is primarily from mid-October to mid-November each year. According to observations by the park's phenology monitoring team, the average color change rate of the leaves in the park was 19.4% on October 17. It is expected that the best viewing period will occur in late October, especially after the Frost's Descent solar term.
