Simply beautiful, autumn's pink romance is here

2024-10-14

In autumn, aside from the classic colors of red, yellow, and blue, there's also a touch of pink you simply can't miss — muhly grass.

When muhly grass blooms, its pinkish-purple flower spikes, as fine as hair, grow from the base, forming a misty cloud. From a distance, vast fields of it resemble a pink cloud, like a romantic ocean. In Beijing, the muhly grass in various parks is in full bloom. Let's go and embrace this romantic autumn rendezvous together!

Olympic Forest Park

The 13th Olympic Forest Park Flower Viewing Season and Autumn Flower Exhibition will take place from September 27 to October 27, 2024, at the "Wildflower Field" scenic area in the North Garden of Olympic Forest Park. The exhibition is open to the public free of charge.

The muhly grass and ground cover flower sea is located on the east side of the Wildflower Field scenic area, covering an area of approximately 10,000 square meters. The flower sea is designed with the elegant shape of a "butterfly" in mind, filled with the autumn-hued muhly grass and ground cover grass. Complemented by white benches, bicycles, and signposts, it creates an artistic and refreshing atmosphere that is unique and charming.

In October, as the muhly grass blooms and changes color, it transforms into a misty pink flower sea. The ground cover grass also shifts from yellow to red, creating a distinct layering that presents an oil painting-like ambiance.
