The "Top Ten Events of National Cultural Center Construction 2023" were announced at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Beijing Cultural Forum, with the "First Opening of Badaling Night Great Wall During Spring Festival" being selected.
In 2023, the Badaling Night Great Wall opened for the first time during the Spring Festival, offering unforgettable night tours for both domestic and international visitors with attractions like the "Tea Horse Mutual Market" sculpture and the "He Who Has Never Been to the Great Wall Is Not a True Man" cultural wall. During the night opening, the cultural and creative stores in the scenic area were brightly lit, offering thousands of cultural and creative products. Visitors could take the convenient Badaling South Line ground cable car to ascend the wall and enjoy traditional snacks in the intangible cultural heritage snack area.

Since the beginning of this year, Badaling Great Wall has continuously explored the path of cultural and tourism integration. From January to August, Badaling Great Wall received 9.64 million visitors, a year-on-year increase of 27%. Badaling Cultural Tourism Group, in collaboration with Beijing Performance & Arts Group, has completed a comprehensive upgrade of the night Great Wall themed performance "Dream Back to the Great Wall: Guests from All Directions." The performance adopts a "walking viewing" mode, leading visitors to watch themed performances such as the Tea Horse Mutual Market. From "lighting" to "beautifying" to "culturalizing," it promotes high-quality cultural relic protection, cultural heritage, and tourism development, contributing to the construction of the Great Wall Cultural Belt.
The stage play "Dream Back to the Great Wall: Guests from All Directions," lasting over 20 minutes, uses Great Wall culture as its background and the historical stories of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall as its main line. Through various forms such as light and shadow, music, dance, drama, acrobatics, and martial arts, it creates an immersive night performance that combines history, technology, and culture, allowing the audience to feel the profound historical and cultural heritage in a lively scene. Additionally, brand events such as the Beijing Great Wall Music Festival and the Beijing Great Wall Cultural Festival have been held at Badaling, bringing high-level cultural exchanges and artistic performances to the audience. Rong Xinfeng stated that Badaling Cultural Tourism Group will continue to update the Badaling night tour experience, planning to launch a special National Day event for the Badaling Night Great Wall during the National Day holiday. Through lighting effects and other features, they aim to showcase the unique charm of the Great Wall, allowing more visitors to have an unforgettable holiday at the Badaling Night Great Wall.
