Longmen Temple

Longmen Temple, located at the waist of Longmen Mountain, was built in the Northern Qi Dynasty and is famous for the collection of ancient buildings from various periods. The wooden buildings of the later Tang, Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties lead the fashion. According to legend, during the period of Tianbao in the northern Qi Dynasty, the great monk Fa Cong traveled here by Wutai Mountain, suddenly felt that the place was quiet and elegant, and the spirit was elegant, so he submitted to the sage and preached the building of the temple. Zhao Kuangyin, Emperor Taizu of Song Dynasty, also once sent the temple head "Longmen Mountain Hui Day hospital". This side hall, built in the later Tang Dynasty of the Five Dynasties, is the oldest building in the temple and the only known hanging mountain style building of the Five dynasties in China. Daxiongbao Hall is located in the middle of the central axis, the width and depth of each of the three, single eaves nine ridges of the peak of the ancient building, although the Ming Dynasty, Qing Dynasty decoration and renovation, but from its opening proportion to the details of the components of the practice, have retained the characteristics of the Song Dynasty architecture, the top of the yellow and green glass ridge beast for the Ming Dynasty.
