Beijing Municipal Forestry and Parks Bureau officially launched the "2024 Colorful Beijing Autumn · National Red Appreciation and Integrated Media Action", selecting and recommending ten "most beautiful autumn gardens", ten "most beautiful autumn roads", ten "garden city walking" and ten "most popular autumn tours" to invite everyone to go out and feel the charming autumn scenery of Beijing. In this "Colorful Beijing Autumn" event, the city's first garden city citywalk route was launched, covering the streets and alleys of the city and various hutongs, fully integrating the rich historical and cultural landscape, high-quality ecological landscape, and the lively atmosphere of hutong life, showcasing the achievements of Beijing's garden city construction with different beauties, and allowing citizens to fully experience the beauty of history and ecology blending.

Chang'anjie (Ave) and its extension
The starting point of the landscape and green project along Chang'an Avenue is from Fuxingmen Qiao (Bridge) to Jianguomen Qiao (Bridge), with a length of 7.5 kilometers. It mainly creates the "Eight Sceneries of Chang'an Avenue", which integrates with the landmark buildings around it, forming a green landscape line that has flowers in three seasons, evergreen in four seasons, prosperous like scenery, coordinated and unified, and strong in recognition. The best viewing period is from April to November.
Sanlihe Lu (Rd)
The north end of the green space of Sanlihe Lu(Rd) is at the intersection of Ganjiakou Lu (Rd) and the south end is at Muxidi Qiao (Bridge). The green area is 31,900 square meters, with 1,022 trees, mostly pine and ginkgo. The total length of the green space is 1.5 kilometers. There are more than 430 ginkgo trees planted in the green space. When the autumn and winter seasons alternate, the ginkgo trees turn golden, decorating this street with simplicity and generosity. The best viewing period is from April to November.
Beichen Xilu(Rd), Chaoyang District
Beichen Xilu (Rd) is from the Bei 3 Huan Lu(Nr. 3rd Ring Rd) to Kehui Lu (Rd), with a length of 2.5 kilometers and a green area of 35,800 square meters. The planting form of the greenery is mainly based on the circular rule style, with large-leaved boxwood hedges as the background, middle layer with colorful tree species such as purple-leaved plum and purple-skinned spruce, and upper layer with locust and ginkgo. In summer and autumn, different colored seasonal flowers are also planted in the isolation belt to enrich the color of the entire road. The best viewing period is in October.
Phase I of the Greenway around Chaoyang Green Separation Area Park
The greenway is 40 kilometers long, starting from Heiqiao Park and ending at Dongba Park. It is a cycling greenway that connects six green separation area parks in Chaoyang District. There are also scattered areas such as Yidigang, Langyuan Station, Chaoyang Station, and Chaoti Center. Citizens can experience cycling in the green separation parks. The best viewing period is in autumn.
Landidang Nanlu (Rd), Haidian District
Landidang Nanlu (Rd) is from the north to Changchun Qiao (Bridge) and from the south to Luodaozhuang Qiao (Bridge), with a length of 6 kilometers. Mid-October is the best time to appreciate the leaves of the Styrax tree, which cannot be missed in autumn. Everything will gradually turn from green to yellow, forming the most beautiful scenery line in Haidian under the reflection of Kunyu River. The best viewing period is in October.
Yongding River Waterfront Greenway, Fengtai District
The greenway is 13.08 kilometers long and is a cycling and hiking greenway. The greenway connects Xiaoyue Lake Park, Green Embankment Park, Purple Valley Eden, North Paradise Park, Lugou Qiao (Bridge), and Yongding River. Along the way, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of Yongding River and the beautiful and colorful scenery. The best viewing period is in autumn.
G108 National Highway (Fangshan section)
Self-driving on the 108 National Highway in Fangshan District, with a total length of about 68 kilometers from east to west, passing through four townships: Hebei Town, Fozizhuang Township, Xiayunling Township, and Puwa Township. Along the way, there are more than ten scenic spots and cultural attractions, such as Xiayunling National Forest Park, Baicaopan Scenic Tourist Area, and Puwa Township Nature Reserve. The path is quiet and elegant, winding and lush, with mountains and waters, and ancient villages and rural houses are built near water. In the golden autumn, the bright red cotinus coggygria, the dark red Mongolian oak, the emerald green pine and cypress, the golden larch, and the colorful ground cover complement each other, forming a colorful landscape gallery. Changchilu Lu (Rd) in Changping District and Yanqing District
The starting point of Changchilu Lu (Rd) is the Mangshan Scenic Area of the Thirteen Tombs National Forest Park in Changping District, and the end point is Yongning Ancient City. The total length is 50 kilometers, with a long viewing road, distributed in patches, and remarkable landscape effects. In autumn, the leaves will turn red or golden yellow and fall with the wind. The best viewing period is from October to early November.
Fanqi Lu(Rd) in Huairou District
The length is 4.81 kilometers, from the elevated exit of Beijing Yanqi Lake Ecological Development Demonstration Zone to Fanqi Lu (Rd) upstream of Yanqi Lake. The overall effect of the road passing through the forest is created, with a rich hierarchy of forests and a gradual extension along the mountain. The mountains on both sides of the road, the colorful flower forests, and the clear and green water unfold like a landscape painting. The best viewing period is from October to November.
Huanhu Lu (Rd) in Miyun District
Huanhu Lu (Rd) is a circular route centered on Miyun Reservoir. The total length of the road section is 100 kilometers, connecting 7 towns, 19 folk villages, 12 unique scenic spots, as well as many star-rated hotels and boutique homestays.

Chongwen Avenue in Dongcheng District
Starting from Chongwenmen in the south and ending at Yonghegong Qiao (Bridge) in the north, with a total length of 5.2 kilometers, Beijing Chongwen Avenue is one of the main roads running through the north and south of Dongcheng District, covering an area of 11.3 hectares. It has a long history and is an important spatial axis of Dongcheng District, as well as a major cultural landscape route showcasing historical and cultural relics and the modern capital style.
Lanman Hutong in Xicheng District
Located on the west side of Caishikoujie (St) in Xicheng District, with a length of about 390 meters, it is situated in the historical and cultural district of Fayuan Temple, from the south of Nan Hengxijie (St) to the north of Guang'anmenjie (St). The clean and refreshing traditional hutongs are filled with flowers and plants, with colorful graffiti on the walls, full of artistic atmosphere, and there are also cafes and various small shops, where you can experience the fun of old Beijing life.
Liuyinjie (St) in Xicheng District
Liuyinjie (St) is a nationally famous model street for the joint construction of military and civilian, and its renovation and upgrading emphasizes the combination of overall design and local improvement, short-term planning and long-term goals, problem-solving and mechanism breakthroughs. It highlights planning guidance, formulates specific "one street, one policy" plans, adheres to the principle of "three micro and one reduction" (micro-repair, micro-improvement, micro-updating, and subtraction), and promotes it in a hierarchical and classified manner. It strengthens the overall, refined, and differentiated design of landscape environmental elements, and shapes regional characteristic landscapes around waterfront spaces, Liuyin streets, and rail transit stations. It creates more small and micro green spaces and pocket parks, allowing residents to see greenery when they open their windows and enter the parks when they go out.
Lianhua River Greenway in Xicheng District
It starts from the intersection of Guanglian Lu (Rd) and Nanfengwo Lu (Rd) in the north and ends at the boundary of Xicheng District in the south, with a total length of 2.4 kilometers. The greenway is built along both sides of the Lianhua River, with cycling lanes, pedestrian walkways, activity platforms, and waterside walkways. Willows and flowering shrubs are planted on the river slope, and reeds and lotus flowers are planted next to the walkway, creating a rich waterside landscape. There are five major scenic areas along the river from north to south: "Guangan Fragrant Lotus", "Nafu Welcoming Auspiciousness", "Tongle Jiading", "Lianhe Impression", and "Red Lotus Past".
Bahe Riverside Space in Chaoyang District
It stretches 1.5 kilometers on both sides from Dongba Central Park to the Airport Expressway, and 2.3 kilometers on both sides from Jiuxianqiao Lu(Rd) to Langyuan Lu(Rd) Through the integration of water and greenery, cultural highlights, multi-functional services for the people, and technological empowerment for management, it has realized the four major values of ecology, culture, humanity, and technology, and built a large-scale open riverside space with "Chinese charm and international style". It presents a beautiful landscape image of blue water and greenery, natural and fresh, and has become a happy river serving the surrounding people, and also provides a high-quality ecological environment for the Fourth Embassy District.
Chaoyang Greenway in Chaoyang District
It starts from the intersection of Anli Lu (Rd) and Qinghe Lu (Rd) in the north and ends at the north park of Wanghe Park in the south, with a total length of 9.5 kilometers, connecting many parks, green spaces, and forests such as Olympic Forest Park, Yangshan Park, Beixiaohe Park, and Wanghe Park. Along the route, there is a first-class post station on the east side of Yangshan Park and a second-class post station in Beihulin Forest. Multiple bicycle parking points and related facilities for cycling are set up along the way to ensure a good cycling experience.
Dongba Park-Jingcheng Huaiyuan section, with a partial loop length of about 6.5 kilometers, has made a new appearance this year after being transformed and upgraded to be friendly for all ages. The road system, garbage bins and other basic facilities have been updated, the plant configuration has been optimized, and the shaded activity space has been further expanded to meet the needs of tourists for rest, fitness and leisure.
Zhongguancunjie (St), Haidian District
Located in the municipal green space on the east side of Zhongguancunjie (St) in Haidian District, with a total length of about 1 kilometer, it starts from Weigongcun subway station in the south and ends at the Fourth Ring Lu (Rd) interchange in the north. It is an integrated upgrade and transformation of the outdoor public space along Zhongguancunjie (St) (from the road boundary to the property boundary). The design has transformed the old and damaged green belt with a single function and severed traffic into a citizen-friendly public space that integrates slow travel, ecology, social interaction, and wisdom.
Sanshan Wuyuan Greenway, Haidian District
It starts from Wanquan River branch line and Yuhuangshan Lu (Rd) in the north, and ends at Minzhuang Lu (Rd) and Changchun Fitness Park in the south, with a total length of 36.09 kilometers. It is recommended to start from the Haidian Park East Gate Station, go west along the North Fourth Ring Greenway of Haidian Park, cross Kunyu River, continue westward through Chuanying Park and Zhongwu Park, and arrive at the West Gate of Beiwu Park, with a total distance of about 6 kilometers.
Yunchao Jianhe Healthy Greenway, Tongzhou District
Located along the Yunchao Jianhe River in Tongzhou District, Beijing, it starts from the intersection of Tonghujie (St) and Furong Xilu (Rd) in the west and ends at the confluence of Yunchao Jianhe and Chaobai River in the east, with a total length of 22.94 kilometers, allowing visitors to experience the harmonious scenery of forest and water and the integration of green water and the city.
