Beihai Park

On September 27, 2024, the Beijing Chrysanthemum Culture Festival and the 45th Beijing Chrysanthemum (City Flower) Exhibition kicked off at Beihai Park, attracting numerous citizens and tourists to admire the beauty. The exhibition covers an area of 2,880 square meters, using a total of 4,700 pots of artistic chrysanthemums, multi-branch chrysanthemums, and other chrysanthemum plants, with a total flower usage of 12,130 pots throughout the park. The main exhibition area is located in the Chanfu Temple and the Wanfo Tower Ruins scenic area, with 15 new environmental arrangements such as the themed flower beds at the north gate, the west bank, and the east bank walk-in natural flower borders, forming a layout that "connects points to lines, and lines to surfaces," showcasing the unique charm of chrysanthemums from all angles. The exhibition gathers representative chrysanthemum works from various sources, allowing visitors to enjoy a one-stop appreciation of the diverse cultivation techniques of chrysanthemums at Beihai. At the same time, innovative booth display methods and traditional residential-style arrangements make chrysanthemums more closely related to daily life, providing visitors with a feast of chrysanthemum appreciation.

Beijing Ming City Wall Ruins Park

Currently, the 2024 Beijing Ming City Wall Ruins Park is hosting the Golden Autumn Chrysanthemum Festival.This year's festival is themed "Celebrating the Prosperous Era's Birthday, Jointly Building a Garden City."Through inheritance, popularization, innovation, and development, the festival integrates and revitalizes the natural environment with historical architecture.It showcases the beauty and significance of the park from multiple perspectives.The event runs until October 11th. 

The chrysanthemum science exhibition features over 100 unique specimen chrysanthemums.Also known as single-stem chrysanthemums, each pot contains one plant, and each plant bears one flower.Their color, petal shape, and flower type best represent the characteristics of the variety.In addition, the park has set up more than 50 chrysanthemum science exhibition boards and four chrysanthemum-shaped flower beds.

Beijing Ritan Park

Recently, the first Beijing Chaoyang Garden Festival and "2024 Ritan Park Golden Autumn Garden Tour" have opened.This Golden Autumn Garden Tour is divided into six major activity sections:'Flowery Ritan,' 'Ritan Drama,' 'Ritan Gifts,''Ritan Run,' 'Warm Ritan,' and 'Red Ritan.'The 'Prosperous Era Blossoms' chrysanthemum exhibition in 'Flowery Ritan' is the biggest highlight of this garden tour.

The park also features a variety of chrysanthemum viewing and photo-taking spots, including:

- A circular flower sea with lanterns,

- A "Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" landscape made with chrysanthemums,

- Four major prosperous era flower theme attractions combining the chrysanthemum scenery with the dynasties of Qin, Han, Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing.

Taoranting Park

On October 1st, the second Chrysanthemum Cultural Festival officially opened at Taoran Pavilion Park. With the theme "Splendid Golden Autumn, Chrysanthemum Charm of Taoran," the festival covers an area of 5,000 square meters and showcases over 200,000 high-quality flowers. The "Red Ribbon" design that runs from the East Gate to the North Gate cleverly combines patriotic sentiment with the beauty of chrysanthemums.

The East Gate area, centered around the "Flowering Waves" flower bed, features a unique walk-in design that integrates red elements with the concept of a garden city, presenting a dual feast of vision and culture for citizens and tourists. Inside the park, landscape nodes such as "Butterfly Dance Elegance" and "Chrysanthemum Fragrance of Taoran" are strategically placed and complement the "Dragon Soaring" flower bed under the Taoran Pavilion. Specialty flowers like artistic chrysanthemums and stake-planted chrysanthemums compete in beauty, perfectly blending natural scenery with humanistic emotions.

In the North Gate area, the "Bringing Autumn Back" themed flower bed uses chrysanthemums as a brush to paint a picture of an autumn scene. At the central square's chrysanthemum exhibition shed, rare chrysanthemum varieties, artistic cut flowers, and miniature bonsai chrysanthemums all make a dazzling appearance, leaving visitors spellbound.

National Botanical Garden (North Garden)

The Third Chrysanthemum Exhibition of the National Botanical Garden

The exhibition kicked off before the National Day, with the theme "Chasing Dreams in the Golden Autumn." Over 200,000 flowers, mainly chrysanthemums, gather together to turn the garden into a sea of flowers. The core exhibition area is located on the west side of the North Garden Science Museum.

The festive flower sea landscape is created by a variety of small chrysanthemums with rich colors, covering an area of about 8,000 square meters. The container garden at the southernmost part of the core exhibition area mainly showcases new varieties of small chrysanthemums bred by the National Botanical Garden through hybridization techniques in recent years. These include "Autumn Makeup Beauty," "Late Autumn Tangerine Charm," "Pink Face and Crimson Lips," "Autumn Rose Purple," and the first-time appearance this year of "Purple Smoke of Autumn," among other varieties. With bright colors and full flower shapes, they fully display the unique charm of small chrysanthemums and are expected to bloom one after another in the later period of the National Day. The boutique chrysanthemum exhibition area focuses on displaying over 200 varieties and more than 1,200 pots of traditional Chinese single-stem chrysanthemums. Gardeners have controlled the flowering period to make them bloom in advance during the National Day, creating a harmonious landscape where the two city flowers bloom together with the surrounding roses.

The colorful flower border exhibition is mainly concentrated along the 3,000 square meters of flower border from the southeast gate of the North Garden to the exhibition greenhouse. It includes several themed flower borders such as "Chrysanthemum Fragrance Path," "Elegant Chrysanthemum Brilliance," and "Rainbow Shadow Stroll." Among them, "Elegant Chrysanthemum Brilliance" is a special flower border for chrysanthemum family plants, which showcases nearly 50 kinds (including varieties) of colorful chrysanthemum family plants in a well-arranged manner, creating an engaging long-lasting flower border landscape.
