The event "ANCIENT ROADAUTUMN OUTTAIN ARKET THEME ACTIVITIES" is themed "Poetic and Picturesque Western Beijing: The Autumn Charm of Ancient Roads." It revolves around five main sections: "Intangible Cultural Heritage," "Mountain and Wild Food," "Ancient Road Market," "Small Courtyard Performances," and "Poetic Autumn Thoughts." By integrating traditional culture with modern creativity, it showcases the natural scenery and folk customs of the Western Beijing area, creating a cultural tourism feast that combines cultural experiences, artistic appreciation, gourmet tasting, and the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.
Mentougou Great Wall Cultural Festival
This year's Great Wall Cultural Festival is themed "Mountains and Rivers Inside and Out: Building Cities by the Mountains and Breaking Through Passes." Through creative performances, interactive fun, and a carnival market, it fully displays the characteristics of the Great Wall in Mentougou, which is built along the mountains and features strategic passes. Additionally, from October 1 to October 3, interactive experiences, cultural and creative markets, "Small Courtyard Performances," and Tianjin Pass MINI walks will be held in Zhaitang Town, along Hecheng Village and Baiyu Village, allowing visitors to fully experience the unique charm of the Great Wall culture in Mentougou District.
Tanko Echo·Valley Music Week
In the valley, we can hear the natural sounds from the Xishan Mountains and feel the echoes of life. From October 1 to 6, the "Tanko Echo · Valley Music Week" will resonate in the vast and warm sound field of Tanko. Twenty-four stylistically diverse musicians will gather in the valley, covering rock, jazz, pop, folk, electronic, reggae, post-punk, and more. This rich and diverse range of musical styles will collectively release echoes of creativity and free spirits.
The stage is set in Shanshan Park, where modern design blends with the layered mountain scenery. As we lie on the lawn with family and friends, holding a cup of coffee or fine wine, we can leisurely enjoy the musical atmosphere of the valley and experience the echoes of emotions between people.

Tanzhe Temple Scenic Area
To welcome the arrival of the Golden Week, the Tanzhe Temple Scenic Area has undergone comprehensive decoration, with every detail reflecting respect and innovation for traditional culture. From the mountain gate to the Heavenly King Hall, from the Mahavira Hall to the Guanyin Hall, ancient trees tower above, red silk hangs lightly, and lanterns are suspended high, preserving the solemnity and tranquility of the ancient temple while adding festive joy and warmth. Liuli Star Valley Scenic Area
With the arrival of golden autumn in October, Liuli Star Valley has prepared unique surprises, inviting everyone to enjoy the golden autumn Liuli feast and appreciate the wonders of the star valley. The park features large lawns for visitors to run, making it an ideal place for camping and barbecuing. The tent camping facilities are well-equipped, and there is ample space for visitors to set up their own tents and enjoy the joys of outdoor life. Additionally, the park offers barbecue options to satisfy visitors' taste buds.
From October 1 to 7, at 11:00 AM, there will be interactive experiences with adorable sika deer on the lawn of Liuli Star Valley. This is perfect for family outings or gatherings with friends and is also an excellent opportunity for photos to capture warm and beautiful moments.
At 2:00 PM, there will be a dove performance, with cheerful doves flying freely in the park, providing a visual feast. Visitors can not only enjoy the spectacular sight of the flying doves but also feel the harmony and tranquility of nature.
Electronic Camping Party
As the sun sets and night falls, the electric sounds from Generation Z will resonate through the Nanshiyang Grand Canyon, bringing vibrant melodies and rhythms to the dancers, injecting a sharp musical current into nature.
DJ stage explosion, supercharged electronic music carnival! From October 3 to October 4, come to the canyon for an unparalleled electronic party, celebrating for two days and nights!

Themed Routes Section
Route One: Great Wall Themed Route
The Great Wall culture in Mentougou District historically holds an important military position of "looking east to the city and west to the desert." The most prominent feature of the Great Wall in the district is its location in the rugged mountainous terrain, adapting to the landscape. Based on unique scenery, safe passage, and autumn leaf viewing, a mature and feasible autumn tour route of Great Wall relics has been launched, mainly connecting the following three points: the ancient city site of Yanhecheng, Yanhekou Great Wall, and Cuanbai Scenic Area.
Yanhecheng is one of the main traffic routes from the capital to the Mongolian region and is one of the best-preserved Ming Dynasty military cities in Beijing. Today, Yanhecheng is the core display area of the Yanhecheng section of the Great Wall National Cultural Park (Beijing section), featuring the ruins of Baishan Temple, ancient city walls, ancient opera stages, and other historical buildings.
Yanhekou is an important pass guarding the capital, with the "Yan" character enemy tower series being the most typical representative, consisting of seventeen hollow enemy towers, where the Great Wall and several well-preserved enemy towers can still be seen, making it one of the most representative Great Wall resources in Mentougou District.
Cuanbai Scenic Area is a tourist resort representing ancient village culture, including the historical and cultural famous village of Cuandixia and other ancient villages like Baiyu. Cuandixia Village features ancient residential buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, ancient opera stages, and scenic spots like the "One Line Sky." The boutique homestays in Mentougou, such as Cuanshe and Fuziyuan, are warm havens for relaxation.
Route Two: Adventure Themed Route

Starting from the agricultural culture of Gushan Village, drive to the Golden Summit of Miaofeng Mountain, enjoying the brilliant autumn leaves along the way, and check in at the ancient road hoof prints of a thousand years in Western Beijing, experiencing the leap of human civilization and the historical vicissitudes of the Beijing area.
Nanshiyang Grand Canyon is known as the Chinese version of the Colorado geological textbook and is called the Earth's great rift in Beijing. The magnificent and perilous natural scenery, along with experiences like Via Ferrata, geological research, and hiking, will create a new cultural tourism experience. The unique autumn scenery of Xidamo Village resembles a delicate watercolor painting, quietly unfolding between the mountains and waters.
