Paris Notre-Dame Cathedral is a brilliant gem in the long river of human civilization, embodying the glory of European civilization and witnessing the evolution of French history. Its unique beauty moves everyone who sees it. Over the past 800 years, the cathedral has been through several disasters and rebirths, and its beauty has been tempered by time, integrating different eras of craftsmanship and humanistic ideas, thus becoming a spiritual beacon of France. The fire in 2019 was another test and baptism for this magnificent building.

The restoration of Paris Notre-Dame Cathedral will be completed by the end of 2024 and will reopen to the public. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France and the important milestone of the rebirth of Paris Notre-Dame Cathedral, the National Museum of China will collaborate with the restoration institution of Paris Notre-Dame Cathedral, the French L'Oreal Group, and the French Histovery company to present the "Notre Dame De Paris: the Augmented Exhibition". Unlike the exhibition in other countries around the world, the restoration institution of Paris Notre-Dame Cathedral has specially lent four precious original sculptures from the cathedral, including the famous gargoyle and the waterspout beast. Through digital technology, visitors can travel through time and space to experience the past and present of the cathedral, and feel the magical charm of the sculptures that once stood high above the city, gazing at the changes of Paris for centuries.
