National Stadium (Bird’s Nest):  

The National Stadium, also known as the "Bird's Nest," served as the main venue for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. It is the world's first venue to host the opening and closing ceremonies for both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. Located in the center of Beijing's Olympic Park, it covers 20.4 hectares and can accommodate 91,000 spectators. In the coming months, singers such as Zhang Jie, Zhou Shen, and G.E.M. will hold concerts at the Bird's Nest. You can climb to the top of the Bird's Nest Skywalk to overlook the spectacular Olympic Center Park, the dragon-shaped water system in the central area, the Olympic Tower to the north, and take in distant views of Beijing's central axis.

China Scientist Museum:  

Located within the National Science Communication Center in the cultural complex of Beijing's Olympic Center, the museum's collection is based on the research outcomes of the "Old Scientists' Academic Growth Data Collection Project." It has archived valuable historical materials from over 500 Chinese scientists, including letters, manuscripts, scientific instruments, publications, audio-visual materials, and related documents.

National Aquatics Center (Water Cube/Ice Cube):

The National Aquatics Center, also known as the "Water Cube" and "Ice Cube," is the world's first venue capable of transitioning between a swimming facility and a curling rink. After the 2008 Olympics, the National Aquatics Center has continued to promote public swimming and fitness activities, adhering to its role as a "public venue." Following renovations, the Water Cube now features three functional areas: the Olympic competition hall, warm-up zone, and the Water Fun Park. Located on the B1 level, the Water Fun Park includes 10 water attractions and over 20 slides of various types, offering exciting and enjoyable experiences with a single ticket granting access to all.

China Science and Technology Museum:  

The China Science and Technology Museum features five themed exhibition halls, a public space display area, and four special-effect theaters, including a dome theater, giant-screen theater, motion theater, and 4D theater. It is the only comprehensive national-level science and technology museum in China.

The "Our '20' Era – Aviation Science Exhibition" follows the themes of "Saving the Nation through Aviation," "Serving the Nation through Aviation," and "Strengthening the Nation through Aviation," and consists of three main exhibition areas. This exhibition will continue throughout the summer of 2024.

Beijing Olympic Forest Park: 

Beijing Olympic Forest Park is located at the northern end of Beijing's central axis. As the green backdrop for the 29th Summer Olympics and the 24th Winter Olympics, it is an important symbol of the "dual Olympic city" and is rightfully known as the "green lung" of the capital. 

Olympic Forest Park has over 30,000 square meters of sunflower fields, making it the largest and most diverse sunflower viewing area in central Beijing. This year’s summer sunflower exhibition will continue until July 28.

Mosikou:

Mosikou, originally known as "Moshikou" due to its production of grindstones, was famous during the Ming and Qing dynasties as a trade route hub. Today, it’s home to Fahai Temple, Jingxi Bookstore, Gudaosi Coffee, Fahai Temple Fried Cake, and Jing·No. 199 Boutique Guesthouse.

Fahai Temple: 

Fahai Temple is renowned for its "Five Wonders": four cypress trees, a dragon-knob bronze bell, a bronze Shakyamuni bell, a thousand-year-old white pine, and Mandala ceiling carvings. The murals at Fahai Temple are considered the finest of the Ming dynasty.

Beijing Zoo: 

Beijing Zoo is a renowned capital park with a history of over a century. It consists of three parts: the zoo, botanical garden, and agricultural experiment section. It is home to the "top star," the giant panda Menglan, also known as the "Third Prince of Xizhimen," attracting countless fans eager to catch a glimpse. Here, you can enjoy an in-depth "zoo walk" or explore unique animal-themed souvenirs at shops like the Pigeon Shop, Tiger Shop, and Giraffe Shop.

Wanshou Temple:  

Known as the "Little Forbidden City of Western Beijing," it is a royal Buddhist sanctuary that combines a temple, imperial palace, and garden. It was an important venue for royal longevity celebrations during the Qing Dynasty. Today, it houses the Beijing Art Museum, with a collection of over 130,000 exquisite items, including embroidery, paintings, ceramics, and jade.

CCTV Tower:

To enjoy a bird's-eye view of Beijing, head to the CCTV Tower. Its 238-meter outdoor observation deck offers stunning views of the city.  

CCTV Tower Revolving Restaurant: 

At 221 meters high, the revolving restaurant offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Beijing. The buffet includes Chinese, Western, and Japanese dishes, with special food festivals and themed dinners offering a variety of options.

Badaling Great Wall:  

Known as the "First Barrier of the Capital," the Badaling Great Wall is an important outpost of Juyong Pass and part of the inner wall of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. It is a remarkable representative of the Great Wall of China and the best-preserved and earliest opened section.

The Badaling Great Wall night tour has been fully upgraded with performances, combining immersive experiences with cultural value. The themed performance takes visitors on a journey through ancient and modern times, merging creativity, technology, and art, with plenty of Instagram-worthy spots.

Temple of Heaven Park 

The Temple of Heaven was the place where emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties performed rituals to "worship heaven" and pray for good harvests. The park features a circular northern section and a square southern section, symbolizing "Heaven is round, Earth is square." It is the world’s largest architectural complex dedicated to the worship of heaven. 

Every Friday, Saturday, and on major holidays, the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is illuminated at night, resembling a celestial palace from afar.

Alter of the God of Agriculture (Xiannongtan)

During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was an important ceremonial site where emperors performed rituals to honor agriculture and personally plow sacred fields. It is one of the key ceremonial architectural complexes along Beijing's central axis. The Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum is located within the Altar of Agriculture (Xiannongtan) and is dedicated to the collection, research, and exhibition of the history, techniques, and culture of ancient Chinese architecture, as well as agricultural traditions.

Yangmeizhu Xiejie (Yangmeizhu Oblique Street)  

Since the construction of Beijing during the Yuan Dynasty, Yangmeizhu Xiejie gradually took shape. The street is 496 meters long, stretching from Meishi Street in the east to Yanshou Street in the west. During the Republic of China period, it was a renowned "Bookstore Street," home to seven prominent bookstores, including the World Bookstore. This street is also known for its rich cultural heritage, featuring guild halls, residences of famous figures, and old banks. It was a gathering place for notable individuals such as Liang Shizheng, Lu Xun, and Shen Congwen, with many buildings bearing their historical footprints.

As you stroll along Yangmeizhu Xiejie, you can admire artwork from Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts at the Mint Commune or observe traditional craftsmen creating clay figures at the Old Beijing Tu'erye (Rabbit God) Shop. When you get tired, you can relax with a drink at one of the quaint cafés and enjoy the rich cultural atmosphere of this historic neighborhood.

Qianmen Street 

Qianmen Street is a famous commercial street in Beijing, home to century-old stores like Quanjude, Yue Sheng Zhai, and Neiliansheng Shoe Store, as well as trendy shops like "Beijing Gifts" and Palace Museum cultural products. In the middle of the road, the "Dangdang" tram, an old Beijing trolley, now operates as a tourist line. It’s an ideal spot to experience the charm of the capital.
