Editor's Note
Beijing is a city filled with cultural and artistic atmosphere. The city boasts art galleries of diversified shapes and styles, attracting many tourists. Abdelrhman Elsman, an Egyptian graduate of the Communication University of China, has a passion for aesthetics and art. He has visited three unique art museums in Beijing. Let's follow him to visit the museums.
Beijing, an ancient and vibrant city, attracts countless tourists from home and abroad with its unique charm. In this land, history and modernity are intertwined, both culture and art prosper, presenting visitors with beautiful pictures. This time, I went to three different art museums in Beijing to explore a different kind of beauty.
Luo Hong Art Museum
Luo Hong Art Museum was carefully built by Mr. Luo Hong, a well-known photographer and entrepreneur, with six years of efforts. It is an "art space that warms the soul". The art gallery is composed of three parts: Luo Hong's photography exhibition hall, oriental garden landscape and black swan cake art museum, which skillfully integrates the natural beauty of the venue with design ingenuity.
The photography exhibition hall mainly exhibits Mr. Luo Hong's photographs taken around the world. Each photo here captures the natural beauty of the moment, with natural scenery and wild animals as the theme of the huge photos. It allows me not only feel the charm and art of photography, but also experience the shocking beauty of nature and life on this planet. My thanks go to Mr. Luo Hong for using photography to turn the most beautiful moments of nature into eternal beauty.
In the oriental garden landscape designed by the heir of a famous Korean garden family, black swans and koi fish of various colors swim in the lake, reflecting the surrounding garden scenery and looming under the layers of mist over the surface. Sitting quietly by the lake and tasting the desserts of Mr. Luo Hong's brand cake shop, I felt a sense of inner peace. Maybe this is the beauty brought by life and nature.
Song Art Museum
When I went to Song Art Museum, I was deeply attracted by this simple modern art space. The Song Art Museum adopts an oriental garden design. The 199 pine trees in the courtyard are scattered in their own postures, echoing the name of the art museum where "Song" actually means pine. The main body of the venue is composed of several pure white Victorian buildings which are combined with the pine trees in the courtyard to form a painting, presenting the beauty of a fresh and elegant oriental garden.
"Connection" is the mission of the Song Art Museum, where you can feel the collision between people, nature, and art. The museum has a rich collection of contemporary art. The diverse range of contemporary artworks have attracted people's eyeballs. In addition to the artworks in the museum, the museum itself is also a piece of art, where people, objects, and places are connected to each other. It is a place where people, art, and nature can coexist in harmony.
Red Brick Art Museum
The Red Brick Art Museum is famous for its unique red brick architecture. Covering an area of 22 mu (about 1.5 ha), the art museum buildings and gardens are all built with red bricks as the basic architectural elements. Mr. Dong Yugan, the architect, has created 9 exhibition spaces, 2 public leisure spaces and 1 art derivative space. He has shaped a unique architectural language by using traditional materials to interpret the beauty of Chinese gardens.
Walking into the Red Brick Art Museum, I felt the artistic charm of Chinese gardens. Red brick, a simple traditional Chinese building material, is used to create a mountain-and-water landscape. Each step can present a different style. Walking along the winding paths provides a feeling of serenity. It seems to be a simple and ordinary scene, but the bricks, stones, plants and trees are just right and in line with the natural imagery everywhere.
Walking through the museum, I was able to appreciate the works of many international art masters, which made me feel that the Art Red Brick Art Museum had made deep and multi-dimensional exploration in art. Inside, the Red Brick Art Museum is home to many art exhibitions; outside, the Chinese garden is also an art. Here we can not only watch the artistic works indoor, but also roam among various landscapes outdoor, feeling the combination of Chinese gardens and modern art.
Through visiting these three art museums, I have not only deepened my understanding of art and culture, but also gradually realized the subtle and restrained beauty of Chinese gardens. Although each art museum presents different themes and styles, they have similarity the presentation of beauty, which makes me feel a different kind of beauty and shock in the process of appreciating culture and art.
