Basic Information
By the end of 2023, there are 206 cruise taxi companies in our city, with about 60,000 vehicles in operation (including 5,000 scrapped vehicles to be renewed, 46,000 electric vehicles) and about 55,000 drivers. There are 12 car-hailing platform enterprises, with 21,000 compliant vehicles and 81,000 compliant drivers. During the year, cruise taxis and compliant e-hailing vehicles completed about 180 million trips and 260 million passengers, an increase of 19.9% over the previous year.
(I) The price standard of Beijing taxi: 13 RMB within 3 kilometers, the basic unit price of 2.3 RMB/kilometer;
(II) Low speed driving fee and waiting fee: when the passenger requests to stop and wait or due to road conditions, the speed is lower than 12 km per hour, every 5 minutes during the morning and evening peak period, the rental price of 2 km (excluding empty driving fee), and other periods, the rental price of 1 km (excluding empty driving fee);
(III) Booking service fee: 6 RMB per booking more than 4 hours in advance, 5 RMB per booking less than 4 hours;
(IV) Empty driving fee: one-way passenger driving more than 15 kilometers, the basic unit price of 50% fee; Round-trip passenger (i.e. starting point and ending point within 2 km) is not charged empty fare;
(V) Night charge: When operating from 23:00 (inclusive) to 5:00 (exclusive) the next day, the basic unit price will be charged 20%;
(VI) Co-ride fee: The co-ride mileage part, according to the non-co-ride case payable 60% fee;
(VII) Fuel surcharge 1 RMB/shipment;
(VIII) Remarks:
1. Morning peak from 7:00 (inclusive) to 9:00 (exclusive); Evening peak: 17:00 (inclusive) -19:00 (exclusive);
2. The mileage of the taxi pricing section is accurate to 500 meters, and the time is accurate to 2.5 minutes; Taxi fee settlement is in RMB, rounded up below RMB;
3. Road and bridge tolls shall be borne by passengers;
4. The daily settlement of chartered buses and passenger transport business charges out of Beijing administrative area shall be subject to market regulation.
How to hail a taxi in Beijing

Stand by roadside or at a designated taxi stand and wave your hand when a cab approaches. Remind: avoid hailing a cab at intersections, the Ring Roads, urban expressways and highways.

Gentle Reminder
1. Don’t hail a cab at a crossroad, as taxi driver are not allowed to stop cars within 30 meters from an intersection to pick up passengers.
2. Smoking is banned in all Beijing taxis.
3. Most taxi drivers may not speak English, so please keep the address card from your hotel or ask the hotel staff to write the address in Chinese and then show it to the driver.
