The "Panda Planet" immersive light and shadow exhibition, a joint creation by CCTV' s Panda Channel and DoPlanet Lab, is the first official immersive giant panda light and shadow exhibition. It is being showcased at the Dewey Center in Beijing.
Huahua, Meng Lan, Fu Bao... The giant panda family gathers here in a new immersive way. "Panda Planet" follows the life of giant pandas as the main theme, narrating the growth story of giant pandas from conception to birth, from infancy to maturity, and their growth from China to various parts of the world through digital art and light and shadow. It provides a multidimensional platform for the public to understand giant pandas, their companion species, and the current status of giant pandas around the world through a combination of sound, light, and electricity. The first exhibition is themed "Forever Friends."

"Where are the Mythologies: Fantastic Adventures of the Ancient Universe" immersive thematic exhibition
The exhibition gathers 28 classic mythological stories from early ancient mythologies, including four major themes: "Mythological Origins", "Ancient Gods", "Love and Eternity" and "Future Mythologies". With 7 major spatial displays, visitors can experience the collision of ancient culture and modern technology. The exhibition utilizes various media forms such as MR virtual and real interactive experiences, images, installations, interactive videos, sculptures, wallpapers, digital inlay paintings, and AI-based artworks. Visitors can wear Apple Vision Pro virtual reality interactive glasses to experience the seamless integration of Chinese mythological digital world and the real world. On July 18, the "Fantasy Light and Shadow Forest: Mountain-Sea Fantasy Realm" debuted at the Southern Park of the Olympic Forest Park. Themed around the mythological world of "Classic of Mountains and Seas", the exhibition combines technology culture with natural landscapes, guiding visitors through a time-traveling experience of fantastic light and shadow interactions. As night falls, neon lights twinkle, transforming the once serene park into a "painting of mountains and seas", becoming a dreamlike world of mist and colorful lights. This is the "Fantasy Light and Shadow Forest: Mountain-Sea Fantasy Realm". Stepping into it, visitors can not only receive greetings from plants through flowing lights but also have the chance to interact closely with "mountain-sea giants" for an immersive light and shadow fantasy journey. "Fantasy Light and Shadow Forest" integrates technologies such as AR, AI, virtual vision, human-computer interaction, and new media, combined with the traditional text "Classic of Mountains and Seas", creating a magical and mystical world. 2024 Longtan Light and Shadow Show
On July 19, 2024, the 2024 Longtan Light and Shadow Show officially opens and will run until October 6, 2024. This year' s show features five main themed areas: "Era of Prosperity Loong", "Dreams of the Loong Lake", "Azure Loong in the Sea", "Gathering Light Forest" and "Elf Showground", as well as various entertaining and interactive performances and roaming projects such as shadow plays, elf flash shows, and dragon armor parades. Visitors can freely enjoy 80 days of fun, entering the northwest area of Longtan Park to see various immersive interactive arts. Along the "Flying Loong in the Sky" corridor, visitors can step into the light and shadow show, where they will see a giant dragon made up of various lanterns flying overhead. Walking on the water wave avenue, with light and shadow changing underfoot and a colorful jellyfish sky above, it' s very interesting and beloved by children.
