At 6:00 am today, the China Meteorological Administration issued a blue alert for heavy rain:
It is expected that from 8:00 am on August 12 to 8:00 am on August 13, some regions including southeastern Inner Mongolia, northeastern Hebei, northeastern Beijing, northern Tianjin, central and western as well as southeastern Liaoning, central and southern Jilin, southern Yunnan, southern Anhui, western Zhejiang, northeastern, central and southern Jiangxi, southern Hunan, northern and southwestern Guangdong, central-northern and southeastern coastal Guangxi, and other areas will experience heavy to torrential rain, with locally very heavy rainfall (100mm-110mm).
Some of the aforementioned regions will experience short-duration heavy rainfall (maximum hourly rainfall of 20mm-50mm, locally exceeding 80mm), accompanied by thunderstorms, gale-force winds, and other severe convective weather conditions.
Meanwhile, the Beijing Meteorological Service has released the weather forecast: Today's daytime will be cloudy to overcast with scattered thunderstorms or showers, with a northerly wind at force 3-4, gusts reaching force 6 or so, and a maximum temperature of 31°C. During the night, it will be overcast with showers in most areas, accompanied by a northerly wind at force 2-3, and a minimum temperature of 23°C.
There will be noticeable northerly winds and strong gusts during the day, so please take precautions against the wind while engaging in outdoor activities. Over the next three days, there will be scattered rainfall, so please be cautious against thunderstorms, avoid getting caught in the rain, and ensure travel safety.
At 9:10 am today, Miyun District issued a Blue Alert for Gale: It is predicted that from now until 8:00 pm today, the wind force in Miyun District will reach around force 4, with gusts reaching force 6-7. Please take precautions.
