The exhibition "The song of Chile: The Integration of the Northern Dynasties" will open to the public on July 24, 2024, at the 15/16 exhibition halls on the second floor of the northern section of the Hebei Museum.
The exhibition is organized by the Hebei Museum and the Hebei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, and it brings together more than 350 pieces of cultural relics (sets) from 23 cultural and archaeological institutions, including the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Shanxi Museum, Henan Museum, Shaanxi History Museum, and Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology. It tells the history of the various ethnic groups of the Northern Dynasties blending together to form the diverse and integrated Chinese nation. The exhibited items cover a wide range of types, including ceramics, gold and silver objects, bronze artifacts, jade, stone inscriptions, rubbings, murals, and more.
The exhibition is divided into three parts: The first part, "Six Towns Rising Together, Eastern and Western Competition," provides an overview of the history from the uprising of the Six Towns at the end of the Northern Wei Dynasty to the confrontation between the Eastern and Western Wei Dynasties. The second part, "Returning to the Heartland, Diverse Integration," showcases the social life during the period of North-South confrontation, with a focus on the Han Chinese civilization. It presents a historical panorama of diverse cultures coexisting and blending through the display of cultural relics. The third part, "Convergence of Heterogeneity, Harmonious Coexistence," portrays the splendid achievements in the fields of stone inscriptions, calligraphy, sculptures, murals, and more, depicting historical scenes of ethnic integration and a diverse aesthetic spirit.
The Chile Plain, under the Yinshan Mountains, witnessed dramatic changes and the rise of heroes, unfolding a historical scroll filled with the grandeur of soldiers and horses.
