Event Overview
In Chinese lunar calendar, the year 2025 ushers in the Year of the Snake, a symbol traditionally associated with good fortune and considered a guardian of households in Chinese mythology. The snake's spiritual, auspicious, and divine attributes convey a deep respect for ancestors and deities, while embodying people's aspirations for a life filled with happiness, peace, and prosperity. Co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau and the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the Global Zodiac Design Competition (Year of the Snake) embraces the image of the Chinese zodiac snake as its design theme. Open to global submissions, the competition invites participation from creative minds worldwide. A distinguished panel of experts, both domestic and international, will serve as the judging committee, and the winning designs will be disseminated on a broader international cultural exchange platform.
