Nanyuan Forest Wetland Park

Nanyuan Forest Wetland Park is located in the southeastern part of Fengtai District, Beijing, with a planned area of 17.5 square kilometers (26,250 acres). Historically, Nanyuan has served as the southern gateway to Beijing and was a royal hunting ground. Its position on the southwestern groundwater discharge area of Beijing has led to the formation of vast lakes and marshes, characterized by lush vegetation and abundant wildlife, making it a crucial ecological buffer for southern Beijing.

The park integrates wetland and forest landscapes, featuring eight distinctive scenic areas such as Baozi Wetland, Haizi Forest, and Huaixin Forest.

Recently, the Nansen Observation Deck opened to the public. From this vantage point, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire park!
