Starting today until August 17th, the National Library of China and Beijing Subway are thrilled to present the 29th edition of the M-Subway Library series, "This Stop, Tang Dynasty—Experience the Splendor of the Tang Era."

At the National Library Station on Line 16, a Tang Dynasty cultural theme exhibition has been set up. The exhibition is divided into four sections: "Elegant Gatherings", "The Form of the Tang", "The Quest for Tang Brocades" and "The Recreation of Brocades" featuring treasures like the Collection of Du Fu's Poems and Collection of Works by Li Bai, replicas of Han Huang's "Five Oxen" and Yan Liben's "Emperor Taizong Gives an Audience to the Ambassador of Tibet", as well as scarves crafted using Tang Dynasty brocade weaving techniques and clothing inspired by Dunhuang cave art.

The exhibition also explores modern scholarship on Tang textiles, including research and reconstruction efforts, such as the artistic reproduction of Tang Dynasty clothing by Dunhuang Costume Culture Research and Innovative Design Center of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, and studies by Zhao Feng, director of China National Silk Museum, on brocade bathrobes excavated from Famen Temple's crypts. A special mirrored photo area at Exit E allows visitors to pause, explore, and capture memories during their hurried commutes.

At Ciqu Station on Line 17, a reading space welcomes visitors. Themed lightbox posters have been installed at select stations on Lines 4, 14, 16, and 17. Featured books include The Rise and Fall of the Tang Dynasty (Complete Collection), Visitor to Chang'an, and The Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty, among others, which passengers can read by scanning QR codes on themed lightboxes throughout the stations.

Launched in January 2015 by the National Library and Beijing Subway, the M-Subway Library project is a non-profit initiative aimed at promoting reading. Each theme lasts three months, with two to four online events annually, complemented by occasional in-person activities, offering a diverse reading experience for all.
