To explore the history and culture of Beijing on International Archives Day, one may go to Beijing Municipal Archives for the exhibition on the Central Axis. More than 300 pieces of archives, documents, photos, objects, and video materials are displayed in this exhibition, leading the audience to walk along the Central Axis in an immersive way. The exhibition is divided into four parts, namely the beauty of philosophical thinking, the beauty of architecture, the beauty of life, and the beauty of cultural inheritance.

The exhibition digs into the essence of Chinese traditional culture and helps protect the cultural heritage of the Central Axis. Beijing Municipal Archives is closed on Sundays and the exhibition is open from 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m (no admission after 4:30 p.m), with free admission.
