On June 9th, the first large-scale scenic drama in Beijing with the theme of the Great Wall, "Dream of the Great Wall," will officially perform at the Beijing Expo Park. Based on over two thousand years of Great Wall history, the drama will present audiences with an immersive "Dream of the Great Wall" experience. Each performance in the main theater lasts about 50 minutes, with a maximum capacity of over 1100 people per show. The performance of "Dream of the Great Wall" features highly recognizable figures, works, stories, and anecdotes related to the Great Wall, integrating music, dance, acrobatics, poetry, folk customs, and more. The plot is designed with ups and downs, comprising multiple chapters, and incorporating high-tech presentation techniques to highlight the unique cultural characteristics of the Great Wall.

The first chapter serves as the opening act, transporting the audience into ancient Qin, where they witness the hardships faced by Qin soldiers as they construct the Great Wall through methods like pulling and carrying stones by hand. The second chapter showcases the might and prosperity of the Han Dynasty, narrating the story of General Huo Qubing, known for his bravery and tactical prowess. The third chapter immerses visitors in the prosperity and romance of the Tang Dynasty. The fourth chapter depicts scenes of Ming Dynasty soldiers defending their homeland and aspiring for peace. The fifth chapter brings together characters from various dynasties, offering a concentrated portrayal of historical figures associated with the Great Wall.

In addition to the immersive experience in the main theater, audiences can also enter separate theaters. Here, they can witness firsthand the hardships of building the Great Wall, participate in joyous ceremonies celebrating the integration of different ethnicities, engage in poetry contests with figures like "Li Bai," and take part in poetry guessing games.

The large-scale scenic drama "Dream of the Great Wall" is meticulously crafted through collaboration between Beijing Badaling Culture Tourism Group, Shiyuan Investment and Development Company, Beijing Performance and Arts Group, and others. With the theme "Encountering History, Witnessing the Rise of China," the trial operation phase runs from May 27th to June 8th, with one performance daily at 14:30. From June 9th until the beginning of the summer holiday, there will be performances at 12:00 and 15:00 daily, with additional evening shows expected during the summer holiday period. Audiences can enter the park through Gates 4 or 1 of the Expo Park to watch the performances.

"Dream of the Great Wall" strives to integrate culture with tourism and vice versa, promoting the deep integration and development of the Badaling Great Wall and the Expo Park.
