1. Overseas Chinese History Museum of China

The Overseas Chinese History Museum of China has four basic exhibition halls, among which the permanent one is the exhibition of the history and culture of overseas Chinese. 2. China National Museum of Women and Children

The exhibitions on women's history in the museum are mostly historical narratives linked by the life choices of outstanding women in specific eras. There are female generals, soldiers, politicians, thinkers, social workers, train drivers, etc.

3. China Customs Museum

The basic display is located on the first and second floors of the main exhibition area, including the ancient customs, modern customs, and contemporary customs. The special exhibition hall and temporary exhibition hall are located on the underground floor, and there is also a special exhibition hall for the "Customs 902" boat. There are currently more than 32,000 collections, including more than 13,000 physical objects, covering important customs cultural relics from various historical periods from the Warring States period to the present. There are customs historical relics such as the "China Lighthouse Map" from 1894, the Big Dragon stamp, and the wooden plaque "Jin Hai Xin Guan" written by Li Hongzhang; there are contemporary customs relics such as the "Customs 902" boat that witnessed Deng Xiaoping's southern tour; and there are also smuggled goods such as a statue of Guanyin from the 11th century, a bronze sword from the Warring States period, a snow leopard specimen, and a Siberian tiger skin seized by customs.

4. Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling, Honorary President of the People's Republic of China

The Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling is located at No.46 North Bank of Houhai. It was originally the garden of Prince Chun Zai Feng, the father of the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, Puyi. There are earth hills on the south, west, and north sides of the courtyard, and there is running water brought in from Houhai inside the hills, which runs around the garden. In the courtyard, the vivid scenes of Soong Ching Ling's work, study, reading, reception, discussion, banquet, feeding pigeons, and enjoying flowers are displayed in their original state.

5. Culture Palace of Nationalities

The Culture Palace of Nationalities was proposed by Chairman Mao and the design plan was personally approved by Premier Zhou. It is one of the top ten buildings in Beijing, the capital of the newly established People's Republic of China, on the tenth anniversary. The main building has a construction area of more than 37,000 square meters, 13 floors, and a height of 68 meters. The building has a unique, magnificent, and spectacular appearance, with white glazed tiles embedded in the walls. The central exhibition hall extends northward, and the eaves and roof are crowned with peacock blue glazed tiles.

6. Civil Aviation Museum

If you are a military fan/aviation enthusiast, you must not miss this museum! The appearance of the museum is designed in the shape of an aircraft engine by the German OWP company. The multi-functional cinema in the museum has three halls, including an IMAX giant screen cinema, a digital hall, and a film hall. The science popularization interactive area has Airbus A320, Cirrus, and Menghuan, these three flight simulators. In addition, there are a large number of collections and real aircraft in the museum, including the Li-2, BAe146, Il-14, Trident, Yun-7, Airbus A310 200, and transport planes used in different periods of China's civil aviation history.

The Xiangshan Museum of the Founding of New China officially opened to the public in September 2019, covering an area of 2.4 hectares and a building area of 17,985 square meters. It is an important venue for displaying the revolutionary history of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China during the Xiangshan period, and an important carrier for protecting and promoting revolutionary culture and the red culture of the capital.
