The Jingping Comprehensive Logistics Hub, located in Mafang Town, Pinggu District, Beijing, will achieve regular monthly operations of the China-Europe Railway Express (Beijing-Moscow) starting from July this year. This will continue to unleash the vitality of China-Russia economic and trade cooperation, promote the "going global" of Chinese goods, wisdom, and technology, inject new impetus into the solid China-Russia relationship, and inject new driving force into mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Russia.
On March 16, 2023, the first "China-Europe Railway Express" in Beijing successfully departed from Mafang Town, Pinggu District. 55 40-foot containers carrying building materials, home appliances, clothing and other goods arrived at Mafang Railway Station, a comprehensive logistics hub in Jingping, and then went through the Manzhouli Railway Port and headed west directly to Moscow, the capital of Russia, opening up a new channel for international trade. Mafang, Pinggu also became the starting point of Beijing to integrate into the "One Belt, One Road" initiative.
Over the past year, Pinggu District has successively opened two Russian import goods halls in Jinhaihu Town and Mafang Town, displaying and selling Russian specialty products. It has also organized a variety of activities, including special bazaars, concerts, and art oil painting exhibitions, to promote cultural exchanges between China and Russia and satisfy the diverse and international consumption needs of Beijing citizens.
