On April 16th, The Plastic Art of Clay - An Exhibition of Folk Painted Sculptures from the NAMOC Collection was held at the National Art Museum of China. This exhibition is part of the NAMOC "Activation of Classic Collections" Series Exhibition and features 69 sets of fine folk painted sculptures from the museum's collection. The exhibition covers painted sculptures from different regions and themes.

Chinese folk painted sculpture art is formed in agricultural civilization, embodying the aesthetics, preferences and folk cultural psychology, and witnessing the historical development of ethnic culture. In order to better showcase the new progress and achievements in the cultural relics protection and the cultural heritage inheritance, and to create a strong atmosphere for the protection, the National Art Museum of China organized this exhibition to rejuvenate the intangible cultural heritage collection of the museum.

The exhibition is presented Kaiqu Hall on the Fourth Floor of the National Art Museum of China and will be open until June 30th (closed on Mondays, except for legal holidays).
