Route 1: East Gate → Jingcui Lake → Shuangqing Villa → Laiqing Pavilion → Fragrant Hills Temple → Yuxiang Pavilion → Xiyang Pavilion → Yunchao Pavilion → "Meishi" → Yutai Gate → Xianglu Peak.

Features: This route is on the southern side, avoiding the relatively crowded central route. Along the way, you can visit historical sites such as the former site of Shuangqing Villa and Laiqing Pavilion to learn about the Red Culture of Fragrant Hills. Visit attractions such as Fragrant Hills Temple, Yuxiang Pavilion, and Xiyang Pavilion to experience the classical garden culture. Finally, reach the summit of Xianglu Peak to enjoy the panoramic view of Beijing.
Route 2: East Gate → Qinzhen Hall → Zhiyuan Study → Zhisong Garden → Yuhua Peak → Xiangwu Cave → Xianglu Peak.

Features: This route is the central route, with moderate slopes and a suitable distance, making it the preferred climbing route for most visitors. Along the way, you'll pass by attractions such as Zhiyuan Study, Yuhua Peak, and Xiangwu Cave, where you can observe exhibitions, architecture, and learn about the garden history and culture of Fragrant Hills. Route 3: East Gate → Qinzhen Hall → Zhiyuan Study → Zhisong Garden → Maple Village → Eyeglass Lake → Peony Garden inside the North Gate → Jianxin Study → Zhao Temple → Jingyi School Science Popularization Cabin → Yuhua Peak → East Gate.

The highest point is only up to Yuhua Peak, where you may break a slight sweat, making it quite suitable. Features: Chinese Scholar Trees have tall and straight trunks with elegant shapes. They are planted in Zhisong Garden and Fragrant Hills Temple. Transportation:
During the holiday period, traffic around Fragrant Hills will be congested, and certain road sections will be subject to traffic control measures. For example, the exit of Xiangquan Roundabout in the westbound direction from the Fifth Ring Road will be closed, and motor vehicles will be prohibited from traveling east to west on Nanxin Village Street (from Hongfeng Road to Fragrant Hills South Road). Therefore, it is recommended to use environmentally friendly transportation options. You can take the Western Suburb Line or public transportation buses such as 563, 360, 318, 932, etc., to reach Fragrant Hills.
