The Beijing Peony Cultural Festival promotion event for 2024 is held at the Beijing World Flower Wonderful Park. This year's event features 10 exhibition areas in Beijing, showcasing over 800 varieties. The Yanqing Peony Garden boasts the most diverse range of varieties, showcasing the new variety "Beijing Peony," which holds independent intellectual property rights in Beijing.
1.China National Botanical Garden
The China National Botanical Garden (North Garden) Peony Garden was established in 1981. It collects over 200 varieties of peonies from both domestic and international sources, showcasing nine major color series including red, white, blue, green, yellow, pink, purple, black, and multicolor. The garden is divided into zones displaying peony varieties from the Central Plains, South China, Northwest China, as well as Europe, America, and Japan. The Peony Garden was established in 1983, and has collected 120 varieties of peonies from both domestic and international sources. The exhibition will last until May 10th.

2.Jingshan Park
Jingshan Park showcases the rich historical and cultural heritage of Jingshan Peonies through characteristic landscape arrangements, cultural exhibitions, park activities, and cultural and creative product markets. The peony areas throughout the park feature over 569 varieties and more than 20,000 plants from both domestic and international sources, covering nine major color series and ten major flower types. Additionally, nearly 400 potted peonies, cultivated through cooperative efforts, are on display. The exhibition will run until April 30th.

3.Xishan National Forest Park
The Peony Garden in Xishan National Forest Park is home to over 160 varieties of peonies, totaling more than 4,000 plants across eight color series. Additionally, there are 2,000 peony plants and a variety of other flowers. The colors include the eight major color series. The exhibition will run until May 20th.
4.Yuanmingyuan Ruins
The Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan Ruins) features three main peony viewing areas: Tripataka Hall, Louyue Kaiyun, and Zaoyuan Garden. Among them, the Tripataka Hall viewing area is located near the the Garden of Eternal Spring, displaying nearly a hundred varieties of peonies. The exhibition will run until April 30th.

5.Lotus Park
The Peony Cultural Festival exhibition area in Lotus Park is located in the southern part of the park. The exhibition area includes 605 square meters of lotus-shaped peonies, 310 square meters of golden ring peonies, 355 square meters of thousand-layer pavilion peonies, 155 square meters of crown-shaped peonies, and 240 square meters of chrysanthemum-shaped peonies. During the cultural festival, over ten special activities will be held, including flower mirror treasure hunting, peony science popularization interactive sessions, old books and new knowledge, and national trend markets. The exhibition will run until May 20th.

6.Beijing world flower Wonderland Park
At the Peony Variety Special Garden in the World Flower Wonderful Park, over 150 varieties of peonies, totaling more than 3,000 plants, are on display. Additionally, there are planned activities such as the Peony Folk Market, music performances, peony painting exhibitions, and Flower God Park activities. The exhibition will run until April 30th.

7. Huaxiang Park
At the Fengtai Huaxiang Park, the main exhibition area focuses on showcasing rare black series varieties. This year, over 20 new varieties and more than 3,000 characteristic peonies are on display, with over 110,000 peonies in full bloom. During the festival, there will be a "Sea of Flowers" atmosphere as a picturesque spot. The exhibition will run until May 20th.

8.Guizhou Peony Garden
The Jiuxian Town Guizhou Peony Garden is the largest peony viewing, research, and production base in the Beijing. The garden boasts over 60,000 cultivated peony plants and 20,000 peony plants, comprising over a hundred varieties across nine major color series and ten major flower types. The exhibition runs from May 1st to May 15th.

9.Dayushu Peony Garden
The Peony Garden in Dayushu Town is located at the foot of Yuhuangshan in Fugaoying Village. The garden is terraced and spans 500 acres, featuring a collection of peonies including paeonia rockii, and Paeonia cathayana. With a development strategy focused on creating the "Beijing Peony" brand, the garden has successfully cultivated 30 new peony varieties with independent intellectual property rights. The exhibition runs from May 7th to May 30th.

10.Tongzhou Canal Peony Garden
The Tongzhou Canal Peony Garden, located in Huoxian Town, Tongzhou District, will host a garden fair on April 28th, featuring activities such as passport stamp collection, intangible cultural heritage handcraft experiences, and the inaugural "Flower Charm Peony Garden" photography contest. The exhibition runs from April 28th to May 15th.
