Wisteria grows rapidly and has strong climbing ability. It is a representative of long-lived plants and symbolizes wealth and prosperity. The overall length of the flower spikes can reach 60 to 100 centimeters. In recent years, in order to meet the needs of visitors for flower viewing, Yuyuantan Park has introduced Wisteria floribunda since 2018, in accordance with the park's construction plan. Currently, there are more than 200 wisteria plants of 15 different varieties in the park.

In addition to enjoying the wisteria flowers, visitors can also appreciate more than 300 peony plants of over 20 different varieties and immerse themselves in the unique fragrance. Alternatively, they can admire the Rosa xanthina on the south bank of Donghu Lake and appreciate the poetic scene.

The spring flower viewing season in Yuyuantan Park will last until mid-May, depending on the flowering period.
